Some of the intangibles seem to be working our way on Wednesday: 1) We have an extra day off to prepare for Maryland 2) Maryland has to travel back home from this afternoon's game before heading back on the road for Wednesday. 3) Snowmageden might interupt Maryland's travel to Lincoln. Let's hope for a 12 hour layover in Chicago, followed by a safe, 3:30PM arrival in Lincoln for the 7:30 game.

Nah, I was a strapping 4 year old by his senior year. Of course I didn't know better to follow the Huskers back then, but I at least know that Petsch was a Senior on Cip's first team. -

This doesn't happen often to me anymore, so here goes... "Sorry, Jimmy, I wasn't born yet" -
I would take this. Depends, I guess. That would mean we would play NW back to back, since both team's regular season finale will be in Evanston. If NW would beat us out there, it would be hard for them to beat us a 3rd time in Indianapolis.

I was going to say just the opposite. Michigan's switching in and out of zones seemed to bother our rhythm moving the ball around. At times, our players missed opportunities to take it to the hoop (Webster). Other times in the 2nd half we missed chances to pass to an open Jacobsen or Morrow. I do agree with you on Watson's game. The first couple of games this year, I thought, what a slight build this guy has, he'll never make it in the Big Ten. He's come a long way.

A couple of others that weren't mentioned in the top 12 and maybe should be are Chuck Jura, Marvin Stewart and Leroy Chalk. Chuck and Marvin are 15th and 21st respectively in career scoring, but would rank higher on a PPG basis. Leroy still holds the record for career RPG for conference games only at 10.5. These 3 played together for 2 years and would surely have been in the NCAA those 2 years if the numbers taken today were taken in 1970 and 1971. -

Nebraska 74 Michigan 73 Number of threes: 5 Why not? This is the exact score of NU's last win over #1 Michigan in 1964. Maybe Shavon will flip in the game-winner over his back like Fred Hare did just over 51 years ago. -
I like seeing our former coaches in attendance. Wondering where you saw that and I found it below. I hope Moe returns someday, but am beginning to think he will never come back - that's a shame. http://journalstar.com/sports/columnists/rosenthal/rosenthal-youth-serving-well-for-husker-men/article_f06ae59c-10bb-5565-818a-83592f83cd45.html

I didn't even think of the walk-ons, and should have. Pretty incredible that this roster has 7 freshman and they are playing as well as they are.

Well, it's coffee talk, Bugs, so you might prepare to get roasted, milled and brewed if someone doesn't like your answer.

This is what I was thinking this afternoon, though you articulated it a lot better than I could, thanks.

This sounds about right. Which means that even with last nights win, an NIT is still a minor uphill battle. I do love what Miles has said a couple of times in the last week or so.... our best basketball this year is still ahead of us.

Sorry for the cornball theme, but to borrow from an old SNL skit, I'm feeling a little veklept after last night's win over the Spartans. So while I gain my composure, I'll give you a subject: Of our five freshman, who do you think will improve the most by their senior year? And why? Talk amongst yourselves.

I guess I don't get it. On one hand, people complain about the troll, then they beg him to come back?
-
Well if an MSU win is a pre-cursor of going to the dance, then do we want the Wolverines to beat us at home???

Just saw this dude just now on BTN. In Crisler Arena at the Minn-Mich game.
