Class of 2010 originally w/ 2 seasons of eligibility after a year at SMU and 1 year of playing at Seward Co. CC. So 3 years to play 2?

I am not being critical him at all, just want the info, how many stars is he? 2? Or was that just for HS and Juco's don't get stars? Does he have 2 years to play 2? Or 3 years to play 2?

I was not mad at Rey this year for jacking up so many shots; because we didn't have any offense. However, I do think that Rey could have been more efficient if he worked on a driving a little more.

We had the same record as Purdue and beat them the last day of the season. WE both had similar RPIs. Maybe next year we will be good enough to make the CBI.

I will address your fears in a couple of ways: 1. We have bags and bags of cash. Pretty much as much as any school. OSU and UM don't need coaches. 2. Miles loves the B1G and I don't know if he would take another job in the same conference. 3. Our basketball situation is really good right now with the new arena and practice facility. 4. I doubt Miles is the type of coach to leave after 1 year. That would be pretty low. However, if Minnesota came calling; which is Miles dream job; all bets are off. And if you are insinuating that Arkansas is going to come calling that would be a lateral move at best. And Miles really likes the upper midwest. Plus to build this program we NEED players. And one way to get players is to get noticed. Maybe if we win a some tourny games players like that kid you posted the video of will notice us over Iowa State. We badly need to get noticed. If we could win 2 more games imagine how much pub we would get on ESPN and CBS. Publicity is good; we need it desperately.

Wow, and I thought I went on bball rants. I agree with the sentiment; if not all the salient points because it was hard to parse exactly what you were saying the whole time. Iowa sucks. But I figure in year 3 we will be about the same place as Iowa. Finishing in 7-8ish place and going to the NIT. We can only hope!

You mean by giving a way a big lead, letting Purdue hit key shots and missing lots of free throws? I am glad we won but we kinda chocked at the end. Miles just doesn't seem like a very "hands on" coach. And I have like that for the most part but at the end of a game, especially when things aren't going your way it might not hurt to call a timeout and you know, coach.

Miles couldn't find a point any time in the last 5 minutes to use a timeout. I don't understand this. He never calls time outs. Maybe he just doesn't like to call defenses or set plays or say "hey don't let Byrd shoot 3s." We tried to give this game away. We have to get better at running set plays. We have to have better situational awareness. When are we going to implement inbound plays?

I dont think I would take that. More than half the teams make a bowl game in college football. Roughly 20% of teams make the Big Dance.

I was never publicly hard on Rivers. And I did think it was hard to give a freshman such a bad time. Everyone wanted him to transfer is what I remember. Having said that, Rivers has performed so much better than I ever anticipated.

Where are you getting your CBI information? I think Miles reiterated again that we were not playing in the CBI.

And you never know, maybe Wagner will be the next Cary Cochran... Does anyone remember if Cochran was highly regarded coming out of high school?
