Cary Cochran is still one of my favorite players. The thing I really loved about him is he would get fouled a lot shooting 3s and if he missed the 3 it was a guaranteed 3 points because he never missed from the line. He had a decent number of 4 point plays too. Kid could shoot, it would be nice to get another in here as a good role player.

I really want Saturday. If anyone from UNL, the B1G or Iowa is reading it is this simple: If the game is Thursday I won't be there for safety reasons. If you move it to Saturday I will show up (and buy concessions).

I was excited to go but looking at the weather report I will have to wait and see if I will make the trip from Omaha.

I think Wisconsin would like to play them again.

How happy would you have been if I told you that we were going to have the same record as Creighton over an 8 game conference stretch this season. I would have been thrilled figuring we would we would catch lightning in the bottle and win 5 or 6 games. Creighton and Nebraska's records over the last 8 games: 3-5 Pathetic on both accounts; but theirs is much worse considering conferences.

He is certainly no place close to leading in 3pt percentage. Talley has a better percentage.

I don't think he is saying (or anyone feels) that Doc didn't "want it." Simply that he didn't know how to get it. Miles seems to have a better handle on how he needs to go about recruiting. And by the end Doc seems resigned that he may not be able to get it done.

MVC shouldn't have any teams ranked on Monday. Yeah, it's been a rough stretch, but hey that happens. Wisconsin winning should help the Jays RPI. I'm not saying this to argue with anybody or to ruffle any corn stalks, but don't be surprised if there are three Valley teams in the dance this year. Should be a great tourney in St. Louis. Congratulations on the Husker's win. It looks like you guys are ready to make a run; a lot of the upper Big 10 teams have been losing lately. Go get 'em. Creighton needs to be in a conference where when they lose a couple games in February it is not seen as a huge setback. My friend started joking how they were going to get a top 2 or 3 seed.... in the NIT. But the actual resignation in his voice communicated that he was tired of Creightions yearly meltdown. If they were in a better conference they wouldn't be seen as such a big deal. I hope they get in the Catholic Conference.

Yeah but the ACC will be the best deepest basketball conference soon. They are adding 4 teams in basketball with good to great tradition and current ranking: Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Louisville and Notre Dame.

I hate the black in our current shorts. And I HATE HATE HATE our away uniforms, mainly because I can't read anything on them (including the numbers). I guess those are my 2 biggest requirements: use our colors and make them legible. Other than that I won't complain too much.

Diaz was a huge part of the team the previous couple of years. We had a point guard last year. Those 2 things a lone make me want to give the nod way in favor of last year. Our SG and F play has been reatively even comparing both years. I won't say we were twice as talented last year but we were certainly a lot more talented last year. If we had Diaz for just like 10-15 minutes a night it would make a huge deal this year. And if we had a more developed point guard this team could have maybe gone something like 7-11.

I will say it again: what we need is 2 more games against PSU. Illinois has the tiebreaker against us so we have to gain 1.5 games against them. We do play them but we have to travel there so I doubt we can pull it off. But in terms of final standing than I guess the two you want to win the most are Iowa and Illinois. With the other Iowa game being the 3rd. If you win both of those you might be able to tie with Iowa and/or Illinois.

Don't count a team out who had been counted out since before the season even started either. They have proven that they can play wint ANY team in the conference, if not the nation. Not saying we get another win this year, but not counting out a postseason chance. Espicially with our RPI and SOS Playing a team close is a lot different than winning. This is more true in basketball where the final score can often times be misleading (see OSU, game wasn't that close). I love this team and I will be sad to see Andre, Ubel and Talley leave. But they are 2-0 against teams below them in the standings and 1-8 against teams ahead of them. We get Iowa at home (I could see it). Other than that hopefully we can steal 1. What we need it 2 more games against PSU. They should be are permanant basketball rival!

No way we finish 4-3 against those 7 teams. I would be happy with 2-5. However, we might be able to make one of the lesser 2 tournaments if we finished 3-4 or 3-5. That seems far fetched but... EDIT: 1-6 would make me happy, 2-5 would make me thrilled. We might be able to beat Iowa at home but any other win would considered an upset and while I could see us getting 1 upset getting 3 or 4 probably isn't going to happen. Don't set yourself up for a letdown.

Hopefully they didn't drive to see us lose to the worst team in the conference at HOME!

Parker is fast but he has been having a tough game shooting. We NEEDED that 3 from Talley.

Few things, I just started another post in light of NW's win, they are looking pretty good. To make the NIT you can't have a losign record. You can go to lesser tournys with a losing record but they are not going to take a 13-19 team probably not even a 14-18 or 15-17. Get to 16-16 and now you are talking. 16-16 seem so incredibly daunting I won't even joke about it.
