Is @ Cincinnati a must win?

The problem I see with the NIT is it is almost as hard to get into as the NCAA you have to be .500 for the NIT and if we finish above .500 then there is a good shot we make the NCAAs right?

I now hate McDermott. I guess another reason to hate Creighton as well. I cannot believe McDermott is supporting and encouraging this thug.

What are our chances, based on our current record, schedule, and the way our team is playing that we will make the NCAA tournament? And a better question, what do we have to do to make the NCAA tournament? Does 8-4 in OOC and 8-10 in conference do it? I am thinking it doesn't look very bright but I am admittedly not as up on RPI, selection process, etc. as others.

Maybe the good thing is that we got embarrassed. Maybe that is a teachable moment. But patting them on the back isn't going to help. I know Miles was embarrassed and I hope he can motivate those guys and help them realize they never want to feel that way again.

I don't get the excuses. Yay we outscored them in garbage time, so what? That is meaningless. I question if the expectations are too low for this team/program. We boat completely and utterly boatraced and showed no fight at all. What is this moral victory crap? We got embarrassed.

I think Petteway has a giant competitive streak in him. And clearly he has a temper. Sometimes when he gets a fouled call he reacts like someone cut him. I am afraid he will punch a ref. He definitely has some fire to him.

Miami looked horrible and in the stacked acc I don't seem them finishing above .500. We had to have this win.

I think it was a failure. When we were predicting our OOC games most people thought we had to get 2 out of 3 to have a strong OOC. Whats worse than going 1-2 is how we played and it doesn't lead me to think were will have a great OOC.

Shields was 2-8 today and 4-12 last game. That is petteway bad. Was wondering if anyone could shed some light on his poor shooting.

I had truthfully forgotten about him.

I didn't get to see all of the game. What is wrong with shields? Why did Parker start and only play 9 minutes?

Pitchfords 2 pointer didn't seem like a great shot to me.

Good for the kid. We are his evil empire.

It is not just that petteway misses a lot of shots. It is that he routinely takes bad and rushed shots. He will sometimes drive and instead of giving the ball up to an open shoot he throws up some prayer in the trees. There is no reason why this team can figure out how to get good shots. This may corm as a surprise royal, but we don't need petteway to jack up a whole bunch of shots. This team is learning and it seems like what they are learning is to stand by while TP tries to single handidly out score the other team. This is not how I want this young team to develop.

Remember when you called my comment the dumbest you have read on this board? Seems like we have a lot of dumb people on this board because people are starting to agree with me. I have yet to be impressed with one game of petteways.

Petteway has shone me nothing but shellfish play. He never gives the ball up in transition. I blame miles just as much. He is the coach. Has anyone noticed that petteway has an anger problem? Whenever he gets a foul called on him he looks like he is going to lose it.
