  1. I ask this because back in my college days I played a lot of pick up basketball. I never faced off against a Husker men’s player, but Bobby Newcombe, Eric Warfield, a few linemen and Candace Blackbird all dropped by every now and again. Newcombe was super athletic as you might imagine. I actually ended up hard fouling him trying for a chase down block. He stopped unexpectedly but I was definitely over exuberant in my block attempt (nothing malicious at all). Probably the the best basketball player I ever faced in high school or pick up ball was Warfield. He was incredible. A smoothe player with easy athleticism and a good jumper. He would have been a nice addition to the men’s team.
  2. So many threads going on that I got confused.
  3. Not really sure where to post stuff like this
  4. 3 and 4 are fine by me. I usually hate the script Huskers, but it looks good on the court.
  5. That’s where I was. I thought we could attract a good coach, but not a proven P5 coach that had interest from a blue blood.
  6. I hope it’s a good recruiter. Isn’t the Western Kentucky assistant rumored to be the guy?
  7. Yup. There’s plenty of room to think both are really good coaches.
  8. Rolling with this for now, but I’m meh on it.
  9. Did Katz really say something to that effect?
  10. Official, official.
  11. Hoiberg has also been attempting to recruit players to Nebraska since February, including at least one McDonald's All-American, sources say. https://kwsn.com/news/articles/2019/mar/30/hoiberg-is-new-huskers-coach/
  12. I live in Bettendorf, Iowa, and was just at Home Depot. A nice couple stopped and asked me if it was a Huskers hat I was wearing. Of course it was. They were excited to share that they’re alumni and have season tickets for football and then we excitedly talked about the Hoiberg hire after days of repeatedly refreshing Twitter. It’s nice to run into folks outside of Nebraska and talk hoops.
  13. I’ve lived in Omaha, Lincoln and Des Moines. Des Moines was my favorite by a decent margin, with no slight to Omaha and Lincoln, which I think have improved greatly over the past 10 years. Ames is a joke by comparison.
  14. I made the mistake of reading all 68 pages of their Hoiberg to NU thread. Whew. That was painful.
