  1. Can't vote until I see them play.
  2. I wonder who pays for our travel expenses or do we donate them to the relief effort?
  3. Penn State and Ohio State fans are too occupied by football to care much about preseason basketball rankings... and, now that I think about it, so are we.
  4. I move we appoint Norm to be the official HHC Bellwether. The difficult part will be getting him to agree about the neutering thing.
  5. Tim was off by a little. Was this leaked by the Russians?
  6. And how can anyone named Moos not own a cattle ranch?
  7. Is Chip Kelley part of the package deal?
  8. This is deja vu all over again. Ten years ago a horrible loss in October precipitates an irate fan base and profound media displeasure followed by a new AD, a new football coach, and a return to NU's rightful place in the sports hierarchy. Bite, chew, swallow, repeat.
  9. Is it an early sign of dementia to forget starting a thread?
  10. I think that is the same train which many in Nebraska board before football season every year. Unfortunately, that one has a propensity for leaving the tracks before reaching its destination.

  12. Worked for Danny Manning
  13. We all know what you mean, HB. By the way, I am very familiar with Newton ,a very nice little town in central Kansas. My grand-uncle , who played pro football for the NY Giants in the 30s lived there for most of his life working for the Santa Fe railroad. He remains my only family member to have his own Wikipedia page.
  14. Unable to resist, huh?

  17. Corruption in Lawrence? Impossible! The FBI's response may be summarized thusly: " You don't need no stinkin' documents"
  18. Sad news for all who visit this site. Condolences to his family.
  19. http://mason.gmu.edu/~rmatz/giamatti.html .... the link is for 49er. It is the traditional ending to the season essay on the SOSH website. And for those who may not have read this piece before, the first and last paragraphs have some relevance to anyone who follows a team sport. Moonlight carried me through another summer, but now I'll rely on trusty old Norman Dale for an even better winter.
  20. * Doc Sadler approves of the title of this segment.
  21. This is indeed a sad day.
  22. As best I can tell, Willhite is a former journalist who now works in the PR dept. of a hockey franchise in Chicago. Send your resume to Lindy's next year Jacob. I know you could do a better job.
