  1. I was under the impression that recruiting would pick up in July. Now that July is about to become a thing of the past I have heard very little about possible additions to our basketball team. We have 3 or 4 new football recruits and 3 volleyball recruits but really nothing in basketball. We have the potential to be a very good team but I believe we lack back ups of quality especially athletic rebounders. It seems to be getting late to find anybody to back up our big men. Others have said Roby and Copeland have tendencies to foul and that Heiman should redshirt. Who is going to replace them when they get into foul trouble or, God forbid, get hurt which happens to almost every team in D1. Getting another athletic body would help to solve these issues. I, as all of you, want us to have a great basketball team. I just turned 80 and have really not seen such a team. I think finally we have the makings of a very good team if we could only find someone to help Roby, Copeland and Palmer to get a little rest so they do not get worn out in the tough big 10 schedule and go down with injuries.
  2. I am deeply concerned why we seem to be unable to recruit a big man. We have the makings of a very good team this year IF we do not have any injuries. Injuries seem to happen to us every year and, as I see it, losing one of our big men would mean we would have to go with a very small lineup and i do not think that would work well in the Big 10. We don't seem to have anyone that would be a strong forward or center for 2019 either than Heiman and I think the jury is still out on him. It appears if things do not happen this year,s we may have another long wait. Please tell me that I am wrong. We need rebounders!!!
  3. Is Hudson definitely a Husker?
  4. Thanks for the contest. I was fortunate to win it last year and come in second this year. It was a lot of fun and am looking forward to next year if the Lord gives me another year. i will be turning 80 in June so obviously my days are numbered. Thanks again, I love to compete since I coached at Lefler Middle School. Since i now live in Wichita I am unable to get to Husker games but I do keep up with all the responses on the Forum.
