    One of my All-time favorite sports memories was listening to Kent's call of NU's upset of #1 ranked Missouri back in '82. The game was at the Hearns Center, and Kent spoke in a whisper most of the 2nd half because I believe he thought if he spoke to loudly he might "jinx" us. Absolutely brilliant!

    I thought Hawkins would redshirt for sure. Obviously not the case. He's putting the best players on the floor that give us a chance to win, and if you're not getting it done ( Ray & Rivers) then have a seat. I wouldn't want it any other way.

    A top 6 finish in the B1G gets us in, how likely is that? We'll see.... Thought we'd be scoring at a higher clip by now with more options. If the Cincy game wasn't big before, it has now become HUGE.

    When I flipped on the TV it was 40 - 10. A brutish reminder of what being a Nebraska basketball fan is all about. The highs and lows are pronounced.

    Yes & yes. One way to neutralize Mickey D is to go at him on the DEFENSIVE end, tucker him out, and hopefully get him in foul trouble.

    This one has me all misty eyed recalling Marcus Perry raining down 3's on these clowns a few years back. We can't drop this one fella's, GO BIG RED!

    How 'bout this line-up: Biggs, Petteway, Shields, Pitch & Smith. I know Smith said he doesn't want to start, but this big line-up is intriguing. Have Pitch & Smith work the low block, while the others slash and kick out for open looks. Don't be surprised if this is the starters we see tonight.

    Not to sound like a d**k, but his suspension had nothing to do with a bum knee. If he's hurt, he's hurt, I just don't want to see this kid squander his last year on campus.

    GW held Dougie to just 7 points, lots of quick guards, made him put the ball on the floor. San Diego St. had lots of tall big guys who could run, and Dougie got his 30 in the loss.

    How healthy is he at this point? Disciplinary action to start the season, and some really spotty performances so far. We NEED Ray to be a player we can lean on.

    I would think Rivers & Shields will spend alot of time on MickeyD in the man/man. Otherwise sag that zone and HOPE he has an off night shootin' the 3. Didn't say it would be easy, just know how much I would enjoy that W more than the others.

    We need to split the Bluejay / Bearcat games. Beating Doogie his senior year in Omaha would really be a punch in the ba**s to all things Creighton. It's lookin' like big "L" Smith might be the difference in each game.
