    What I meant by "many & varied" was it's a Vikings town over and over and over again. The Twins could win the World Series every year and it would STILL be a Vikings town.

    I always found it ironic that the Gophers football team can't sell out TCF Bank stadium (a paltry 45,000) in a Metro area of 3 million, and yet we sell out EVERYTHING in a STATE with less than 2 million. There are many and varied reasons for that but put simply, we give a s**t.

    LOTS of mismatches, not enough stops & not enough easy buckets. I didn't think we played that poorly, but beating a team as good as Purdue on the road is a tall order (pun intended).

    If you want to have a parade for an undefeated season, go for it. Declaring yourself National Champions is just plain silly.

    Forget basketball drills, he needs to work on basic agility, flex ability, and footwork. Should get him some yoga classes (being serious) and other activities that improve his range of motion and overall motor skills.

    I spent 20+ years in the Twin Cities and this is a program notoriously plagued by scandal ( least we forget all wins were vacated after the '97 Final Four season). This kid is beyond having some "issues" and should get the boot for good. Basketball wise Goldy just lost the B1G defensive player of the year.

    Somewhat related, the front page of the OWH Sunday had a story about the National Champion Volleyball team, but they had to tie in how it relates to the football program. Jesus H. Christ ENUFF with the football. These other programs can stand on their own.
