HHCC Game #03 - vs. Creighton (Nov. 16, 6:00 PM CST)

Red 81 Blue 74 -
While, yes, they need to pass more, there was also a lot of standing around and not giving verge or whoever was initiating the offense anyone to pass to. this is largely still a new group learning to play together. I think the comfortability and trust levels will increase as the year goes on. That happens to teams all over the country every year.

It wasn’t the prettiest thing ever, but it’s definitely progress. - Bryce is so smooth. - Ed was the boost we needed today. Him and Wilhelm. Loved having both of the floor at the same time. - SHSU couldn’t stop fouling. NU hit their free throws after a slow start. - SHSU was as advertised. They crashed the boards hard. Once NU adjusted they were fine, but there was a lot of frustration in the building. After the last 5 minutes of the half, NU mostly was in control the rest of the game. - Flagg was a stud tonight. - Verge is gonna drive people crazy all year. - The 3s will start falling. It was rough tonight though. that’s all I got for now. Tuesday should be fun!

uneblinstu's postgame chatter: vol 14; ed 1 - Western Illinois
uneblinstu posted a article in Post Game
I didn't get to go to this game. It sounds like they got a painful lesson that things won't actually come easy. Things I gleaned from twitter: Bryce looked legit Verge had a nice game Rebounding is a serious issue Free throw shooting was much improved...until it wasn't... And they lost...so not a great start to the year... Will be interesting to see how they pick themselves up off the mat on Friday... -

2021 PG Chucky Hepburn -> Wisconsin

Yep. We lost out on him when Miles left. He had a great relationship with Chucky and know they felt good about getting him had they stayed. -

uneblinstu's postgame chatter: vol 14; Prologue - Colorado

I’m in the second row of the 200 level as well. I originally wanted front row, but ended up really happy I saw the railing. It’s basically still unobstructed and the railing runs over the scorers table from my vantage point. -
uneblinstu's postgame chatter: vol 14; Prologue - Colorado

If he looked tentative and scored 15, I can't wait to see what he looks like when he gets comfortable. -
That was a cathartic experience for Husker Fans. A rather nice test before starting the season. If they get things rolling like they did in the first half, PBA is going to be the place to be this winter. I think there will be a lot of nights like that. I thought they looked a lot sharper and more focused today. Way more comfortable after getting the jitters out earlier this week. I don't know that I've seen many Husker teams look this polished in an exhibition setting, so I think the starting foundation is a good one for this squad. Lots can happen, and I don't know that we saw a full on normal Colorado team, either, so I'm still going to refrain from making any sweeping statements, just to say that there's a lot to be optimistic about!

Glynn Watson I watched some of the highlights and Buzzy mentioned a couple times that they weren't talking on defense. Part of the growing process for a lot of teams, especially ones with as many new pieces as ours. I think there's some really nice clay to work with on this team. I'm excited to see how it all gets molded together as the season unfolds.

We don’t even know who is going to get the minutes yet, much less who he’d be taking them from. That will all sort itself out soon!

That's a very challenging start of the schedule, especially once it resumes in January. I love it for this team, though. I like the Indiana and Michigan games in December. We'll find out a lot about this team in December. Can't wait!

OT: Printed vs. Digital Tickets: The Debate
uneblinstu replied to HuskerFever's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
I liked the season ticket card. The jump to digital isn’t a big one from there. We went to a handful of mlb games this summer and they were all digital and it wasn’t an issue. I do like having the physical keepsake, tho. -
Many years ago, back before PBA was even up for a vote, @nuled2dance, @unl and I said to each other, I hope one day it will be hard to get a ticket to NU hoops. At the time, it just wasn't the case. Frankly, there wasn't a need for season tickets... But when the construction of PBA was approved, I decided to get season tickets, hoping I'd get first shot at tickets in the new building. Turns out my hunch was right.

I'd guess with NU taking all the coverage in-house, they'll overhaul their streaming. I'd look for some sort of new app or something like that soon.
