Feb. 25 at Penn State Tues. March 1 Purdue Sun. March 6 at Northwestern - First blush: Wins appear to be available in the first five and last six. Wins between those stretches will be very, very tough. - But I do see 6-8 wins in there. - A lot more Wednesday/Saturday games. That's a good thing! Only one Sunday game for sure, maybe 2. That will allow for more of a rhythm, more like a Big 12 schedule.
  2. Same here. I got almost the exact seats I wanted. I intend to keep them for a very long time. That decision to not give up my $99 tickets six years ago was the right one.
  3. Maybe a little, but not shocked. I'll be curious to see what happens if this years team struggles like last year's did.
  4. Three out of four ain't bad.
  5. From what I'm hearing, that team may not have made it on the schedule. This team is in a transition year, from what it sounds like, and don't have the talent some on this side of the pond thought they did. Instead, they'll end up with three competitive games, most likely and this will end up being the blow out. This next game is supposedly more comparable to the first two games. It will be interesting to see how we respond to playing on back to back games and if they get over confident after an easy win.
  6. Doesn't look like they're going to get blown out in any games unless they fall apart tomorrow. Opponent is expected to be about as good competitive as their opponent on Tuesday.
  7. If Pitchford could have kept his head on straight last year and been about the team, I have no question that he could have been an asset to both last year's team and this one, but he couldn't do that. We played better last year when he wasn't on the court, there's too much talent in that kid for that to have been the case.
  8. They look closer to low to middle of the pack Missouri Valley teams to me in terms of quality.
  9. My question still stands, though: Does it matter how good the competition is?
  10. This isn't meant to be critical of this comment. Question I have is whether or not it matters how good the competition is? This is more about Nebraska learning how to play with each other and coming together as a team before there's anything at stake. That said, I bet this competition is better than anything the Jays faced... You might have misread Norm's post. He said the stream, not the team. The stream > my reading comprehension tonight, apparently...

  12. So, it'll be interesting to see what kind of season Tai has without those two chuckers going Kobe. Early returns looked pretty decent. Hope he keeps it up. Even better if he starts hitting a good percentage of his deep shots. Having a couple shooters to spread the court should help, too.
  13. This looked like a decent mid-major team, the Spanish team, that is. Lots of jumpers, some good players, but no great ones. Fair barometer for the first time these guys have ever played together in a live-game scenario.
  14. Handled the press better than last year.
  15. I'll take the one we know has a pro on it. This year's squad may have more raw talent, but I can't pick 'em until I see them on the floor. Check back around Christmas.
  16. "I'm not scared. I'm actually very humble..." Is that how it works, huh?
  17. I'm in the White III camp as well. Also, I have a hunch Fuller takes a big step forward. If he becomes the shooter we all have heard he can be, he could be a terrific compliment to AW3 and could really create some defensive spacing issues for teams...If he can make that step up. If those two prove they can shoot, that opens things up for Watson (and perhaps Tai...) to get into the lane. Then we get to have some fun. Also, Evelyn should be able to be very effective in this role if you can put two shooters on the floor. Frankly, we NEED the guys like Tai and Fuller to step up this year just as much as we need contributions from the newcomers.
  18. I'll just say this...Nebraska played it's best game of the season when Walter was kicked out...
  19. He didn't actually make a prediction...lol, he listed just about everyone in that paragraph.
  20. In the Lee B. article, Miles said he wants a game they can win, a game where they get killed and two games where it could go either way. I like that.
  21. Both of the last two ware after visiting for football games. Look to see who they bring in for BYU and probably Wisconsin. Those are the games we'll probably bring in our biggest recruits for. We have hoops recruits at most home games each year, though.
  22. Someone named Bol Bol has to be a shooter, right?
  23. Do you have a link for this story?
  24. Nah, that wouldn't fit the rest of it. This guy might, though.
  25. I like those. All of 'em, not just ours.
