  1. I imagine it wasn't an easy decision on his part. And the decision he made very well might bite him in the tail. He'll be playing against better opponents this coming year...if he doesn't prove up to the task, he'll cost himself some dough.
  2. It's being discussed in the College Basketball forum.
  3. She doesn't lose the ability to sit a year...she just loses an eligible playing year while sitting out this time around.
  4. I wish the TWOS dude would do a comic or two during the basketball season! He's a genius!
  5. A couple days ago a news source in Iowa said he was going pro. The McD's denied it.
  6. Myles Turner: 6'11", 225 lbs, Center Rivals: 4-Star, #78 overall prospect in the 2014 class Link to Rivals profile: http://rivals.yahoo....s-Turner-134245 That's one.
  7. I'd like to see the letter "C" in front of a few more names.
  8. I approve this message. Absolutely!
  9. Any idea why that is? Because they have a shorter shot clock. It's shorter in the NBA, but they have a time line. I don't get that women's rule at all.
  10. Need to find a lady with breast augmentation to bump!
  11. I don't think our fans are entitled to anything...especially recognition for only having 5,000 people show up to countless games over the past ten years. I'm glad you were there cheering the team on, Norm. But to think you deserve something for that is silly. You paid to watch basketball games...and you watched basketball games. Anything else is gravy. Don't think I used the word "entitled," like, anywhere. Nor did I say I deserved anything. Pretty sure. Could go back and check, I guess. What I think I said was that I could understand the sentiment of folks who are saying that they might be a little resentful of the bandwagon jumpers. Are you saying you cannot understand that sentiment? If so, I think you'd be among the few. The University's own advertising campaign plays on this very sentiment: "Be there from the start." So you compare yourself with soldiers who have been in combat and "want recognition" in the same sense as those soldiers and you think I'm being unreasonable in saying your desire for said recognition is similar to the feeling of being "entitled" and "deserving." Got it. You sure do like putting words in my mouth, doncha? "Now, certainly, the Army wants people to serve and doesn't want to turn away the people who haven't been deployed overseas. But if you've been through a war, you get a combat patch. Those of us who've been around for awhile? Who stuck around even when this team could barely reach double figures in wins? Who suffered through all the recruiting mishaps and blown leads and roster turnover and coaching turnover? Yeah, I kinda feel like we've been through a war." So, you didn't compare yourself with veterans of wars?
  12. LOL, well, saying we WON the tip would be generous. More accurate to say, "we ended up with the ball after the tip." We'll take what we can get!

  15. Well, most of our football recruits are just so-so; I guess it would make sense.
  16. It remindes me of the dude who follows a band when no one else knows who they are, then when the band hits it big he hates everyone who now likes the band becasue they weren't there in the beginning. Who gives a shit?
  17. Benard Thomas said he'd break the single-season sack record...and I think ended up with one sack that year. I'd take Broderick Thomas and his mouth over Benard Thomas any day. Yeah, Jamelle Holieway was real impressed with Broderick Thomas and his mouth. What is it with these guys named Thomas who play football for Nebraska? Jamelle Holieway (one of the finest option quarterbacks the college game has ever seen) vs. every quarterback we played but one. I'd say if Holieway got the best of you vs. every qb on the schedule, I'd be ok with just Jamelle.

  19. Hopefully this doesn't turn into one of those Benard Thomas-type deals.
