97 coaches have won 8 exactly? That number seems high. I think it's supposed to mean that 97 coaches have at least 8 playoff wins. And I'm afraid the ambiguity can't be fixed with a semicolon. The semicolon works wonders, but it is certainly no panacea.

I have a great idea. Maybe we could just change the thread title into a foreign language. Like French, for instance. Une vue acerbe de Husker basket-ball. That way, only people who speak French would know what we were talking about. There's some forward thinking, Norm! I like it!

Yeah and for that matter can we just change the title of all threads to "Everything is awesome"? I'm not remotely suggesting that we shouldn't criticize the program or the coaches or the scheme or the game planning or the recruiting efforts or anything else. Not suggesting even remotely that we should always and forever confine ourselves to only positive and favorable commentary about this team or this program. I'm only suggesting that, during this particular moment in time, when we're waiting for a potential recruit -- one whom we should probalby all agree would be a major coup for this team to land -- to decide which school he will attend, that maybe, just maybe, we shouldn't advertise on this site reasons why this program is shit and recruits would be idiots to sign with us. That's really all I'm saying. As I'm worried and concerned about the decision this kid is about to make and the decision Andrew White is about to make, it concerns me just a little bit to come onto the main page of this site and see a thread that advertises in its headline a "scathing view of Husker hoops." Am I completely off my moorings to worry such things could potentially negatively influence a prospective recruit? If so, I apologize. Maybe, just maybe, we shouldn't purposefully misspell that potential recruit's name for the cheap giggle if we're so worried about the word "scathing" scaring him off.

You're thinking of AAU membership. KU has it so there is no problem there. It's Oklahoma that does not have AAU membership which could prove to be a barrier to joining B1G. But my personal feeling is I couldn't care less if either of them (or any other former Big XII member for that matter) ever joins us in the B1G. Like, I used to think how great it would be to bring KU and OU into the fold with us, but you know what? I don't care any more. They acted like little bitches towards NU back in the 90's when we formed the conference, they acted like little bitches when the conference was crumbling in 2010 and REALLY acted like little bitches after we left and they're still little bitches today. They deserve the Big XII. Oh, and Shatel is still a pandering little bitch too. Nebraska lost its AAU membership before joining the B1G, I believe.

Considering this thread is already way off track (mostly by my doing), I might as well share that I tried to do a search of the board for semicolons so I could divvy out more up arrows, but the software is not capable of searching for them. Apparently BBS software doesn't know how to use them either. Oh, and the potential new deal is worth a crapload of money; moving to the B1G was a fantastic idea!

Geez a guy can use a semicolon correctly but... I appreciate the hearty giggle this morning, Silver!
