  1. Two years running now, isn't it, Khoock? Not sure about last year, but I for sure remember ppl questioning his ability to play the 4 last year if we ever got a true center. Which I never understood. If you're good enough to play Big 12 football and Big Ten basketball, you're a good athlete. Glad he's on the good guys team. I understand what you're saying, but there isn't a true correlation between being recruited to play Big 12 football and having the ability to play power forward in the B1G. Either way, I'm looking forward to watching the kid play this year. I'm expecting big things.
  2. Good to see the improvement! Some pretty solid numbers, for sure.
  3. It's wrong. Down arrow for Shields! What about a ruling on my ellipsis overuse? I'm just as guilty when it comes to ellipsis...no ruling.
  4. Haha, didn't even notice the semicolon at first; It appears that this semicolon should have been a comma. Nope, a comma wouldn't work there either. A comma-but needs to be used the same way a semicolon is; they follow the same rule. There isn't a complete thought after his "but." And he used "that" when he should have used "who." Despite a few social media grammatical miscues, Shavon is still the scholar; we all know twitter is the bane of grammar in general. You'll get no rebuttals from me on that.

  6. I think the difference between him and ed is that isaiah needs the extra muscle not so sure ed did lol.Sent from my LGUS992 using Tapatalk He needed the muscle, not the size. Zay needed both.
  7. Pretty damn cool.
  8. Is this because we cooled on him, or vice versa?
  9. Really? If true, this bums me out way more so than the Arop deal. Chang has always been the guy I've wanted (though I have no real reason for it).
  10. Everyone in the back row is except Jordy and the two on the end. I noticed that as well. Kind of funny!
  11. I hate this.
  12. Did it look like this? Nick Fuller: Senior I'm looking forward to this being a thing now. I am as well. Or am I? I do find it hilarious that Handy Johnson never came back to clarify. This could live on in perpetuity. It's easily the best part of the whole ordeal.

  14. Or that the left elbow wrap was to disguise a joint bending the wrong way. That only works with knees. And the absence of any wheelbarrows is a blessing. I wonder how many Tai-heads shorter he is than everybody else... Always a valuable inquiry!
  15. Didn't watch. I've seen another kickboxing/broken leg video and that was enough. Scarred me when I saw it on TV 20-some years ago. Nope!

  17. Assuming Fran doesn't want to oversign, but is there any reason he wouldn't? ...or is oversigning now verboten? I don't know - I'm not well versed on NCAA rules for recruiting. Pretty sure you can oversign Iowa just did. Also, Ed Chang is not going to Iowa No they didn't. They over-verballed. By that's just me being picky.
  18. I would very much like for this to not go any further.
  19. Since my "theories" are usually wild guesses and rarely accurate, I have to celebrate the exceedingly-rare instance of having one hit the mark. Check today's quote from Robin Washut about the new Nebrasketball walkon: "From a basketball standpoint, Shultis is really nothing more than a practice body. However, . . . Shultis currently boasts a GPA nearing a perfect 4.0, and if he were to be awarded the open scholarship NU has for this season, it would provide a huge boost to the Huskers' team APR." I have a hard time imagining Shultis will get the open scholarship considering he is a soph. Perhaps if he was a senior then maybe it would work out....but I don't think we want him taking up a scholarship for the next three years. Unless we only plan on having Shultis around for this year? Either way...it would probably be smart to keep it open in case a midyear transfer becomes available. Sometimes they'll give a walk-on a scholly for just one year. I believe that was the case for Menke. Had one his sophomore year, but I don't believe he was on scholarship his junior year.
  20. Me too. The biggest question this season in my mind is his ability to run the team. I know he can score and we have some talent around him, but can the offense function? How will you know if he's running the offense? I think point guards are overvalued at the college level because the coaches are running the offense from the sidelines by shouting out the plays on most every possession (they feel they need to be in control because of the high stakes of the job). How will we know if Watson has control of the offense if Miles is running the show from the bench? This is not a knock on Miles or Watson. I'm just asking because I truly don't know.
  21. And was second on the team in minutes.
  22. Other than they say 15-16 averages.
  23. Fourteen points per game from Tai would have been great!
  24. GOOD! That means he's a hard-worker. Or just that he's got a shitty tan.
