We were a border line host before our slump. Remember college baseball is now using quads. Current teams on the host bubble are Indiana St and Oklahoma state. They both have 5+ quad 1 wins. We’re 0-4 in quad 1. Is it impossible to host? No. But it just seems like something that seems so far away right now. Win 10 out of the next 12 then I’ll start considering it again. Stacking dubs and positioning ourselves to win the conf is what I’m more worried about.

Yeah cart got ahead of the horse. This team should have never been talked about as a regional host/top 25 team. Focus should be competing for a B10 title and making a regional.

Also Payne is planning on coming next week (unless he commits to Indiana).

Unless Fred is Mormon and I was unaware, we should have nothing to worry about.

Robin says another “notable” visitor will be on campus next week. But will not say who.

10-6. Happer is the biggest CU nut hanger on that station.

I hope Kalk is gone. My opinion is he’s the sole reason they were able to make the jump from 1st weekend team to final 4 contender. 7’2, elite defensively, skilled offensively. Maybe 2 other teams have one of those unicorns and they played last night. I want him gone.

Why do we need to get more athletic? We don’t need to overcorrect due to one game where A&M shot out of their minds. Fred needs to stick with the same formula that got us 23 wins, 3rd place in conf and an 8 seed.

Yep, Kentucky is big game hunting. Billy Donovan makes a ton of sense.

Robin’s comments on Morgan have me skeptical. Says he loved NU and is a fit for basketball and school (Ag). But also says he’s a wild card and family farm is close to U of M, and that he consistently visited family when he was at NDSU. Seems like a toss up, would have felt better if he left Lincoln committed.

So Hoiberg is headed to Champaign today. Dainja is the only Illinois player in the portal, but he is supposedly visiting Memphis today. Wonder if we got pushed aside or got a commitment elsewhere…

Air Husker is going Fargo-Minny-Peoria-Champaign. One possibility: Peoria = Hickman, Champaign = Dainja, Minneapolis = Payne, and Fargo = Morgan.

Someone said if you look up the tail number of the husker jet you have a pretty good idea of who he’s going to see. I’ll look into it once my kids are down

I doubt it but Robin said Hoiberg was on the private jet to see 3 priority portal targets over the next couple days. Just gotta see how this shakes out.

My buddy and I were watching in disbelief. We get an A&M team that can’t miss a 3, Creighton needs Oregon to miss a FT to extended their season and gets it. We are soooo over due in the luck factor.

I hate to dwell on this, but he really F'd this team. 99% of getting a dub or two in the tournament is matchup. I highly doubt we get A&M if Trev doesn't do what he did. NW the past two seasons get overrated, ice cold, mid majors. We get a P5 team with a top 10 ceiling, playing their best ball. So thanks Trev, parting gift of a lifetime.

I had this "if not now, then when" feeling tonight. Keisei got hot, we got up 7....then got steamrolled. I am beyond defeated. Creighton is good for a tournament win every year. NW has 2 in the last 2 years. Rutgers has a win in the last 3. Oakland, MI wins one. St Peters. FDU. At this point I'm ready to give in to the fact it'll never happen.

Ugh as a die hard Indians fan....I feel like it's never coming. That WS broke my heart and I feel the same way tonight. IDK, trying to find a silver lining but can't. I am proud of this team, but feels like no matter what we will always run into a buzzsaw.

Posted this on another board...reasons I'm pleased with this matchup. 1. There are 2 at-large teams with 14+ losses. We're playing one. 2. SEC tends to underperform relative to seed, since COVID only Arkansas has been past the Sweet 16 despite 8 top 4 seeds. 3. Buzz is 1-3 in round 1, Fred is 3-1 in round 1.

It's 11:00PM and I'm on here.... Honestly, it's a super weird feeling. I've been so accustom to Thurs/Fri of the 1st round being 2 days of carefree basketball watching. Having something on the line is foreign.

I think we’re on the 7 line tomorrow. With a thank you to KSU and Duquesne for the strong finishes and making our non con wins pretty damn decent.

Officiating was straight garbage. OSU also played very well. Love him/hate him, Battle is a baller. This is what makes the B1G so tough, OSU is so talented they fired their coach and woke up the next morning and had a Top 25 Team. They're tied for 12th in the conf right now BTW.

They got all the whistles in the paint, and all the offensive whistles. Really changes the game when you let one team be the aggressor on both sides of the floor.
