HHCC Game #30 - at Michigan (Mar. 5, 5:30 PM CST)
hhcmatt replied to HuskerFever's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Thanks. The funny thing is I specifically remember posting this with 1 player with no turnovers. Must have just mentally posted it. -
or not....woof

That's because the recent labels of 'disruptive' and 'difficulty' seem to be mainly because of the 'difficulty' of getting him to sign with Nebraska has been 'disruptive' to Nebraska fans. I can buy something like we wanted to see how he recovered from his injury or we recruited over him or his skill set wasn't exactly what we wanted because even if invented they make sense. To be told that the issue was 'disruptive' is such BS given that it seems like we don't care at all about this recruiting most anyone else.

uneblinstu’s postgame chatter: vol 12; ed 30 - at Michigan

That was our worst offensive efficiency in conference and third worst overall (Georgia Tech/UC Riverside debacle) Feels like the answer to a rhetorical question about whether this team plays better without Mack is easily no. -

Think the team took off for Michigan around 5pm on Wednesday so this looks like the reason that Mack was suspended.

That game is a win-win for us. If we win, we win. If we lose, it's more likely that Richard Pitino will remain the coach. -
I don't necessarily like the 'difficulty' that comes along with Mack but I don't really understand where people are cutting bait with him now given that this is no new development. Typically the most visible adjustment from Juco to D-1 is play on the court. For Mack, it appears to be off the court. FWIW it's not in the classroom. The guy who everyone thinks is going to drop out of school to go pro made the honor roll. It's not so much about effort with Mack as it's just him wanting to do what he wants to do it seems. At some point the amount of talent you have is not enough for people to put up with certain levels of crap and he has breached those levels multiple times this year. I very much don't think he's broken the dam though. He absolutely needs to declare for the NBA and see if any teams will work him out so that maybe he appreciates the sort of professionalism that is expected of him is important for his future and not some sort of childish game to play.

No surprise there

hhcmatt replied to basketballjones's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
I'm told that the FT lines in JUCO are approximately the same distance that they are in D-1 -

Are any of the guys we're bringing in going to be future NBA players? We just need one of those guys to hit -

Don't feel bad about actively rooting for either Arop or Burke to turn the ball over at this point -

I think early in the year someone said something along the lines up 'we FINALLY have a coach that can make half time adjustments'. -

The fun thing about this is that Michigan is one of the worst teams in Div-1 in generating turnovers. -
