So it looks like Minnesota has the 11 am slot for BTN on Saturday. They are supposed to play Loyola Marymount but they don't even have the game on their schedule yet as they're also scrambling. If they play that game at 11, I would assume they get the BTN slot and we go to BTN+ If they don't play at 11, we get BTN.

Still waiting to see if NDSU will be BTN or BTN+

Southern Miss, Doc's old team, was the other team along with North Dakota St that was supposed to play at Milwaukee to start the season. Milwaukee canceled due to Covid which was how NDSU became available.

The only thing last year had was lack of covid/ability to go to a game.

As long as we can get two teams to show up, we should be good.

I'd infer that our city's/state's lack of control of Covid is the issue. It could also be that they would need to state a reason to withdraw so they don't have to pay a penalty or something like that.

Creighton getting that game at home on a Friday instead of at the PBA on a Saturday gives them an extra day before they have to start league play against Marquette on Monday. It's clearly in their favor. I think you can argue that having that game at home for our 2021-22 roster is clearly in our favor. We also don't have to wait until 2022 to have a crowd vs the Jays. Seems like a win-win here.
