  1. It wasn't this clean but last night it was mainly a Walker-Stevenson timeshare at the 5 and a Mayen-Thor timeshare at the 4.
  2. Indiana ended up with 12 offensive rebounds for 16 second chance points. You match up the extra shots with them shooting decent from 3pt and the big thing keeping us in this game was Indiana missing FTs as they went 15-25.
  3. Nebraska Post-Game Notes All five starters had at least 10 points for Nebraska. That marked the fourth game this season that at least five Huskers scored in double figures and the first time that the entire starting lineup all reached double figures. Nebraska had 16 assists and only nine turnovers in the game. The Huskers finished with more assists than turnovers for the second time in Big Ten play, while the plus-seven assist-to-turnover ratio was Nebraska’s second-best mark against a Division I opponent this season. Nebraska’s 16 assists was its highest total since Dec. 17. Lat Mayen hit a career-high five 3-pointers to finish with a career-high 15 points. Mayen’s previous career highs were three 3-pointers and 13 points against McNeese State. Derrick Walker, making his Nebraska debut and the first start of his collegiate career, finished with 10 points on 5-of-7 shooting. The 10 points matched his career high, as he also scored 10 points at South Carolina during his freshman season at Tennessee in 2017-18. Teddy Allen had a game-high 21 points, marking his sixth 20-point game this season and his second straight 20-point effort. Allen has been in double figures in 13 straight games dating back to his freshman year at West Virginia. Trey McGowens dished out a season-high six assists, as his previous 2020-21 high was three on two other occasions. Dalano Banton had seven assists and no turnovers, the fourth time with at least seven assists. It marked the first time he didn’t commit a turnover. Nebraska trailed by 15 points with 15:53 remaining, but came all the way back to take a three-point lead with 7:21 to play.
  4. It might be as simple as they just started going in. Not that it probably means anything but he missed his first, hit his next 5, missed his last 3.
  5. If they built a system that tracked this it would be called the Lorenzo Romar
  6. To me it's not about McGowens running the offense as much as it is him running the break as Banton doesn't seem to either possess the speed or drive to push the ball. When we get a rebound, look for McGowens and see what happens. If nothing is happening, get the ball to Banton and run the offense.
  7. Nebraska Cornhuskers (4-7) vs Indiana Hoosiers (7-5) Date: Sunday Jan 10th, 2021 Time: 5:00 p.m. Arena: Pinnacle Bank Arena Broadcast: BTN Indiana Info Head Coach: Ryan "Archie" MillerLocation: Bloomington, IndianaConference: B1GNickname: HoosiersLast time out: Lost to Wisconsin in 2OT Line: Indiana by 7 Typical Rotation Depth: 7-9 KenPom rank: 23 Key Injuries: Armaan Franklin - IU's starting guard isn't expected to play because of an ankle injury Hoiberg Presser Nebraska had to pause practice for 2 days to clear guys for Covid. The Huskers will be without one player who hasn't been named yet. (Expect there to be a starting lineup change) Speaking of changes to the lineup, Derrick Walker should make his debut but Hoiberg notes he's not in 'game shape' yet. Players to watch: Trayce Jackson-Davis Sophomore PF Jackson-Davis has picked up where he left off last year as one of the best front court players in the conference. Averaging over 20 points per game, TJD also leads the team in rebounds and blocks. Has yet to take a 3pt shot this year. Roster points 2 1 Aljami Durham 6-4 185 Sr 10 Rob Phinisee 6-1 187 Jr 32 Trey Galloway 6-4 210 Fr 25 Race Thompson 6-8 228 Jr 23 Trayce Jackson-Davis 6-9 245 So 9.5 3 1 Aljami Durham 6-4 185 Sr 10 Rob Phinisee 6-1 187 Jr 3 Anthony Leal 6-5 210 Fr 21 Jerome Hunter 6-7 215 So 23 Trayce Jackson-Davis 6-9 245 So 9.5 Much like TJD, Durham and Phinisee play a lot of minutes. They both aren't great from outside but are the secondary scoring behind TJD Race Thompson is an elite shot blocker and rebounder Jerome Hunter isn't a rim protector but is more aggressive on the offensive end than Thompson Freshmen Galloway or Leal currently are 5th options on offense in a time share 5 star frosh PG Khristian Lander has played sparingly The Skinny: Offensively Indiana is the one-dimensional type of team that Nebraska wants to defend. They're not a great 3pt shooting team and their best 3pt shooter is out. The Huskers will spend the day trying to pack the paint in an attempt to slow down Trayce Jackson-Davis. Easier said than done. Indiana is built on half court defense so transition offense won't be there for Nebraska. Against Michigan St Trey McGowens managed to beat the defense back a few times. If he can pull that off against Indiana, Nebraska has something. The Hoosiers are a strict man-to-man team so look for Nebraska to try and exploit the freshmen's inexperience or the lack of height from Indiana's guards. Speeding up Indiana might help though this is where the lack of a home crowd really hurts the Huskers; it's much easier to goad a team into running when you can feed off the energy of a crowd. Can Nebraska hit from outside? Really that feels like the question as to whether or not Nebraska will be in a game. Prediction: Nebraska 59 - Indiana 66 View full article

  9. c'est la vie
  10. The reason you don't practice is because at least one guy on the team got covid and you're looking to avoid spreading. Good sign we're practicing and it's just a matter of when it's publicly announced which guy(s) will miss the next 3-4 games
  11. How many minutes is Walker going to be playing and where will they come from? Here are the minute numbers for our conference games.
  12. Would it be pro or con to have to come up with a new Polish firearm nickname?
  13. That was the 08/09 team made up mostly of guys who had played for Sadler the year before. You can overcome talent with experience and you can overcome experience with talent. That's a big part of why we're most likely going to go consecutive years with single digit win totals.
  14. Patton got paid 6.7 mil so I'd say he's doing quite well
  15. Penn St cancelled another game. If Purdue plays on Friday, I think that means we might be in trouble of playing a few more games
  16. Currently has more career points than the guy he was traded for, Justin Patton
  17. Were Piatkowski and Porter there? I don't think Porter was as he was retweeting random stuff during the game.
  18. I think about how Saint Thomas University won't offer the guy.
  19. Those are professional sport players, right? I don't think DONU ever officially said that Eduardo Andre had Covid
