  1. The only time it might be relevant is when you have less than .4 because in theory you cannot get off a shot in that time.
  2. Really unfortunately but considering he stopped eating meat his senior year for no particular reason it's not exactly surprising to read.
  3. ON THE VERGE
  4. From this Norlander piece, which has a lot more to read besides rules https://www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/news/college-basketball-starts-in-50-days-so-here-are-50-things-to-know-about-the-2021-22-season/ 3 new rules 1. Allowance at the league level for coaches to use technology/live statistics and video on the bench 2. Shot clocks will have tenths of seconds on display now -- if schools want to invest in new clocks 3. Experimental rule to be tried during the NIT: Increase to six fouls, with a maximum of four fouls allowed per half "Under the experimental rule, any player called for four personal fouls in one half would be disqualified from playing the rest of the game. For example, a player who picks up four fouls in the first half would have to sit out the rest of the game. If a player has one foul in the first half, he would be disqualified after picking up four in the second half. If a player has three fouls in the first half, he would be disqualified after being called for three fouls in the second half."
  5. Is Lutz still around if the NCAA would have made this change 2 years ago?
  6. Agreed. I should have specified that the title mattered more before this rule. Heck, depending on what we think we have in Gates and Loenser I could see us moving guys around more.
  7. I look at Verge's numbers and I don't see Teddy. He comes across as a guy who drives to the rim where he either distributes or scores. He didn't shoot a ton of 3s in ASU's hero ball offense so more than likely he'll take the type of attempts that Dalano did: open shots from the corner or wing as part of the offense. Really hope he's one of these guys that can execute Hoiberg's 'make the simple play' mantra as he's going to touch the ball a lot when he's on the court.
  8. via 3MW which really does a good job at profiling most every D-1 team: Hoiberg made a big splash via the transfer portal (as he’s been known to do) by bringing in Arizona State guard Alonzo Verge days after Banton’s decision to turn pro. Verge is expected to run some point for the Huskers, which should be seen as a double-edged sword. On one side, Verge is very talented; he’s a good ball handler; he’s even a good passer. Scoring comes naturally to him, and he can do it very well. View fullsize Lots of dribbling On the other side, Verge is an extremely high-volume shooter and has never met a shot he doesn’t think he can make. ASU was not a good basketball team last year and some of that was due to its guards being focused on “getting theirs” instead of playing team basketball. If Verge wasn’t afraid to be high-usage in a backcourt featuring Remy Martin and Josh Christopher, he won’t hesitate to do the same alongside the McGowens bros. Verge should thrive in Hoiberg’s uptempo system (ASU was similar), but Nebraska fans should know they are getting one of the streakiest shooters in the country and a “feast or famine” lead guard.
  9. They aren't for college sports where your title dictates your contact level with athletes and prospective students
  10. Feels like it's Colorado or Creighton.
  11. Getting him on campus will be half the battle as Michigan St seems to think they have him 90% of the way into the boat
  12. More like he will be. Dawson is a 2021 graduate who has re-classed and SCA is basically a prep school. Jaxon transferred in from Utah for his senior year. https://www.prephoops.com/2021/07/showcase-by-the-beach-top-2021-prospects/
  13. Tired: Basketball Genes Wired: Basketball Jeans
  14. Green clocking in at 19 on this list. Traudt at 6.
  15. Of course we're going to go see this guy Seems unlikely we'll offer Lawrence with they way our scholarships look right now but you never know.
  16. Aden Holloway would probably be the highest rated PG we've ever landed but it's not someone we've even offered. Is it because we don't offer high level recruits or because we're pragmatic in our recruiting approach?
  17. Something that got auto-enabled on the site. I will remove, thanks for letting me know.
  18. At this time top 30 in Georgia is more apt than top 30 in the country. Saw that Marquette recently reached out. If he doesn't pan out it's not like we're in need to fill scholarships or lacking in other offers.
  19. I'm holding out for the @basketballjones Tonje post
  20. You know we're going to hit him up
  21. To be fair, the traffic between Omaha and Lincoln is brutal on Saturdays
  22. As long as no one is trying to give him an atomic wedgie while yelling CAN'T STAND US!
  23. If you're wondering why Green is visiting Colorado and Creighton and not us it's because he already visited us.
