  3. Are you in Columbus yet?

  5. Get used to seeing this guy for the next 4 years
  6. Verge was a senior last year. This is an extra year.
  7. I thought we had recruited Wright back in the day. Didn't realize that he was a Dayton commit and then decommited after Archie Miller left https://www.daytondailynews.com/sports/former-dayton-flyers-recruit-commits-colorado/p07qYB4etaI09otwpSxOZP/
  8. Does anyone else like the look of Quaran McPherson thus far?
  9. This Colorado team is going to be a lot better at the end of the year as while they're talented they're in the process of replacing McKinley Wright who started at PG all 4 years he was at Colorado. That being said I'm rewatching this game and am struck by how put together they looked in an exhibition game against an opponent they couldn't just out-talent. I have no idea what these guys will do once they get into situations where it's a tight game or any such level of adversity but I think you can really see that Hoiberg has the type of guys that he wants/needs to run his stuff at a high level. I think the chemistry is actually there as well. Bryce does need time. The beauty of this team is that it doesn't need him on the roster to be a .500 or better team. Verge, Trey, and Walker can carry this team for as long as it takes for him to get comfortable playing at this level.
  10. via hoop-math.com - 2pt jumpers - senior year shooting percentages Verge - 38.5% Watson - 38.5% I could see senior year Watson starting over Trey and/or Verge on this team. He's arguably the best package of outside shooting, ball handling, and defense.
  11. Verge is easily more vocal. Watson was more of an outside shooter. Verge has better court vision. Even when his shots weren't falling, Glynn didn't turn the ball over and was a relentless defender. We'll see how Verge stacks up in those departments as the season unfolds.
  12. I think you have the right numbers. What I was looking at assumed the buyout was 2.5 for the last 4 instead of the last 2. So it's more like Dec 31, 2021: $20 million Dec. 31, 2022: $15 million Dec. 31, 2023: $10 million Dec. 31, 2024: $5 million Dec. 31, 2025: $2.5 million
  13. Looks like Jordy was on the Drew League team that won the championship and has made the Cleveland Charge G League roster https://www.instagram.com/p/CTLmRhVnUuA/ https://canton.gleague.nba.com/roster/
  14. Scott Frost buyout numbers Dec 31, 2021: $15 million Dec. 31, 2022: $10 million Dec. 31, 2023: $7.5 million Dec. 31, 2024: $5 million Dec. 31, 2025: $2.5 million We have $5 million reasons to not fire him before Jan 1st. Not sure if that is enough to keep him employed for one more season. It's a tough pill to swallow with the athletic department losing so much money during the pandemic.
  15. As constructed, this team doesn't need Bryce to be transcendent in order to be successful.
  16. It's pretty safe to predict this will be the best shooting team that Hoiberg has rolled out here.
  17. Was on tonight. Nothing groundbreaking but a good listen. Finally on youtube instead of some video player that sort of worked
  18. I think I missed it when they dropped the actual attendance from the box score. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but it would seem the NIT game vs Butler was when it happened. I think maybe the NIT generates the box score so the end might have been ushered in by the start of the Fred Hoiberg era
  19. Some of the reason he played more minutes was that he wasn't in foul trouble which was an issue today with Verge and Trey picking up 2 each before the 10 minute mark in the first half
  20. Banton is obviously a good player but it feels like trading Banton for Verge is a win.
