  1. Depends on what his injury was...the guy was putting up decent numbers and at the very least seems athletically capable of playing at this level. We might owe it to those guys to take a another look at him but it's a disservice to us and to Link if offering him additionally is a condition. i'm not totally against the idea given that we have left a spot open for the last 3-4 years. would miles really be able to find 2 prospects on this short of notice that are better than the combo of jordy and link? if you agree with future150.com that jordy is a 4 star top 100 player, then you probably would be ok with bringing in his 7 foot brother for 2 years.
  2. miles may just stop recruiting big men all together if minnesota beats us out. they've only been recruiting him for 2 months and won 8 games last year. and i have to assume pitino is on the hot seat. and then to top it off, i just read on here that minnesota has no open scholarships.
  3. i hope so. if he visits arizona, i will start to worry a bit.
  4. hmmm... i wonder what the difference between very good and "very, very good" is.
  5. this. now weed need jordy to replace hammond, and we need to finally fill that last spot rather than leave it open.
  6. I might have a short memory, but I can't recall a time when a recruit actually committed while on campus. Someone will probably remind me of when this has occurred. I believe Arop did. hammond did i think
  7. not sure how good he will be from day 1, but i think we'll be back in the tourney real soon if we get both jordy and palmer.
  8. i hope so. his composite ranking is around 175 in the 2016 class, but he has a better offer list than a lot of players in the top 100. he would be a big time get. tons of potential. moves great for someone who is 6'11 260 pounds.
  9. could not have picked a worse weekend weather wise. 1 positive is that we offered him in june 2014 minnesota and arizona offered him 2 months ago. we should have a much better relationship built.
  10. how is jordy not ranked in the top 150 with this offer list? arizona, lsu, baylor, nebraska, boston college, minnesota, Pitt, oklahoma st, Providence, virginia tech, arizona st, smu, tcu, ucf,
  11. do you guys really think his mom is playing that big of a role? he's 21 years old. not 14. having said that, i think there's a great chance james comes here. we have a need for a guard, great facilities to train in during his year off, play in the B1G, and miles has great success with transfers. basically the perfect fit. Momma's always play a role. And if she came on the trip, that's generally an indicator her opinion has weight. not saying she has no input. just saying the kid is going to go to the school that's going to allow him to get on the court and be the best player he can be and also finish his degree. webster/gill/white will all be gone when palmer is a senior, so he will have a great chance of starting for us then. that seems like the main reason he will choose us IMO.

  13. murphy claims to have communicated with Miles by phone, so we must have some kind of interest in him. even if it is just a walk-on spot.
  14. shaq's son retweeted him FWIW https://twitter.com/cynreef/status/721526850644631552
  15. it was a dumb tweet by miles. even if they are friends. he coached at tech for 3 years and got them back to the tourney. it's not like he left after 1 year.
  16. supposedly still plans to visit us and arizona.
  17. a bit worried that palmer isn't visiting until may. we can't afford to wait too long with 3 open scholarships, or we may end up with nothing.
  18. i also love the thought of getting 20 pages of ryan murphy on here. a kid who may or may not have a real D1 offer.
  19. i'm with you on this. things could get real bad if it turns out these calabasas kids aren't the real deal.
  20. Agree big time. Bakari can play. He was a victim of us not having any big men as well in a way. Bakari will do well somewhere else. And he could no well at a higher level program than most here realize. there was almost no chance of fuller leaving this year. it's way more likely he'll be a grad transfer next year and not have to sit out a year.
  21. miles really has his work cut out for him. finding 3 quality guys this late will be tough.
  22. we're potentially adding just as many high profile players as creighton for the upcoming season. -roby top 100 4 star player (had a creighton offer) -gill former top 50 4 star player. -horne is a fringe top 150 player that's probably a bit underrated. -jordy. top 150 Center with offers from arizona, bayler, and pitt, etc. -miami transfer james palmer. former 4 star top 100 player. (visiting here this month) we still need to lock down those last 2, but this just shows we are going after a lot of high profile players.
  23. is it safe to say the iowa state offer fell through when hoiberg left? iowa st offered him on 7-22-2014, and it would appear he has not received a D1 offer since that date. something doesn't add up.
  24. would you not be worried if you were an assistant here? we just had 2 losing seasons, and eichorst is clearly not afraid to pull the trigger. personally, i think miles still has 2 or 3 more years to turn things around, but you never know.
