  1. The rebound #s by White, McVeigh, Hammond, and Jacobson are VERY encouraging. Throw in a couple of blocks by Morrow and Shavon/Watson/Parker dropping dimes I say this team is starting to gel a little bit. These sort of trips are always good for teams to bond. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. This is an excellent synopsis of how last year's team went south IMO. This is right in line with accounts that I have heard as well. I expect our chemistry will be on the upswing at the very least. While Petteway would be pissed regardless if we're losing, his struggles with his mother probably exacerbated the situation. The subtraction of Smith and Pitchford definitely will go a long way towards our team chemistry though who knows what this year brings. One concern of mine is who will be the team leaders? While I think our upperclassmen are high quality in terms of character, I'm not sure how much of a verbal leadership presence they bring to the table. Maybe that matters..maybe it doesn't. Excellent point. Shavon, Benny, Tai, and AWIII will have to lead in their own way. Really it's going to have to be Shavon first and foremost. It should be an interesting variable to keep an eye on. We'll likely be able to tell pretty early on if the team has a leadership problem. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. Yeah...because we were such a great rebounding team last year right? Ed Morrow will help in that department no doubt but as 6'7 freshman he may have some issues guarding centers in Big Ten play. I wouldn't be so worried about height if we had a team that could shoot make jump shots. That is still a major question mark. That's definitely the two biggest keys to the season IMO. Rebounding and knocking down jumpers. I think we'll be ok defensively, because of our solid help principles, provided that we are significantly improved in checking out and cleaning the boards. None of that will matter a hill of beans if we can't knock down jump shots consistently. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  6. We're gonna be fine Norm. Watson, Morrow, and McVeigh are very talented players. They will be put in a position to succeed and be very productive freshman. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Jack McVeigh is gonna be a good player as well. I was very impressed watching film of him this summer. Offensively he's a face the basket type, but defensively he's also a rim protector. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. You hit the nail on the head IMO Norm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. This kid will be another nice walk on addition to the roster Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. This kid is going to be really good y'all. He continues to get bigger and bigger, has good handles, and is a nice rhythm shooter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. 6-10 Michael Chandler transferring from Oregon. He would have to sit though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. He is going to be a very impactful player IMO. I love his game from what I've seen of him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I would think somewhere between 21 & 25 would be appropriate for us going into the year.
  14. I agree that this commitment will now get the momentum rolling even faster IMO. All signs I see point to us being the team to beat with Morrow.
  15. This is very good news.
