the football team has basically all of the best offensive in the big ten coming back, the secondary is now seasoned and loaded with filthy talent, the D- Line will be young but from all accounts similar loaded with potential and our schedule is favorable we will be ok, volleyball will just continue to do what volleyball does baseball should improve and hopefully find a niche in recruiting. And to close i feel that 2013 will be swoon of a year we will feel down on the board than we will feel uplifited when the 13 recruits thia year than than down with boredom in those dreadful summer months than high when we look like a complete team and even higher when we snag a big time stud for 2014 and 2015 in back to back months towards November and by Xmas were undefeated out of non conference schedule -
how about his teamate Brad Dougherty? (the spelling is off) not has a scholorship but has a prefered walk on

i live a block from the high school and i graduated from Papillion La Vista ill have to go scout him sometime

ik cwg started this as a non serious but wishful post and I gave my two cents about it, however ik a few posters have said how out of shape they’d be and couldn’t make three trips up the floor, and I will agree basketball shape is different than football shape, however let’s not act like these are not world caliber athletes, as a former collegiate lineman I can tell for 6-10 seconds it’s our job to push other 300lb lineman 4-5 feet off the line of scrimmage, than if we have completed that task we find a linebacker or cornerback 5 yards away. And with today’s fast paced offense its not 40 seconds of break its more like 10 -20 tops, now realistically if they joined the team they’d be a last resort and play maybe 10 minutes a game but that’s it, not starting and being contributors just last ditch effort helpers.
-
coz. idk if cwg is be serious or heavily sarcastic, but the thought has been stirring around in my brain for a little bit, why not add these two their not out of shape 300+ and i gurantee they are at least conditioned enought to play 10 mintues a game if needed and they have previous experince has stated above by cwg...and you know they all play a little pick up ball whenever possible. Its a thought to have in case Andre or Shavon or David goes down, i mean after that we have Kye and Sergij and than no one...

i concur with your fat guy opnion, as a large man myself it was extreamly frustrating playing football in high school at a certain weight comfortably with no problems and having the basketball coach or rugby coach ask a unrealistic weight for you to be at. I like andre and i just hope he stays healthy and he has a fun senior year. This is what this season will ultimately be about.

fahro and coleman could of helped this team, so i think it makes it all the more imperitive for miles to sign Atwewe?(spelling is off i think)
-
i believe so norm, ik that shields was young for his class as is fuller so its entirely possible. i know that i grew 3 inches after i graduated high school to about 6'6 so its plausible. I do like miles philosphy on finding those late bloomers. i wish more teams would have that paitence, football and basketball.
-
i think he can be a stud here, and if he has a Paul George like growth spurt and continue's to develop his game, can be big time.
-
is this the kid the did that crazy dunk in the highlight video that was on the old website?
-
aussie's play some good basketball, i enjoyed watching their teams in the olympics they dont have that european sterotype at all, they very physical and had a lot of swagger. so im all for getting some aussie' in here for the forseable future. Look at St.Mary's and Gonzaga they strike canda and austrailia hard and it always seems they have some unknown stud put in four or five solid years there and help them get to the dance. i think we have to be unconventional when it comes to recruting. We cant recruit like UNC or Kentucky does, we have to forge our own path.
-
i say the wild card is shields, i mean if grows another two-three inches he could be a 6'8-6'9 swing/post player but i think we need to snag another big, and subtly put Vuetic on some roids...or make him eat, live, and lift with the Offensive Lineman in the offseason. I will say i did hear a positive comment from a creighton fan, she said our players are far more built and imtimidating than creighton's players, she said a few of our players belong on the football field.

the game was hard to listen to, but i have faith in this husker team...and there is one postive thing i will take out of this...BIG Andre's dunk was a top ten nominee on sportscenter -
