  1. there was an intial film on grandstaff, where he rose for a dunk and jus kept rising, must been a 35+ inch vert, but after watching some film you posted today, i wonder if whoever made the film for the intial video i saw, mislabled the kid.
  2. cmon now, lets be real about things..
  3. im gonna disagree with you there, as i have to consider what heat team is playing these teams from the 80's and 90's...granted due to my age i was not around for those 80's teams, i was a junkie who craved basketball and i will tell you that, if you stack up the team from the regular season against many of those teams, i take the heat in 6, the level of athletic supriorty is downright imaginable. Now im a sucker for physical play so, the 90's version of the Knicks, and Pistons, and even some of the Pacer teams would give them a run for their money but i believe the only team the touches the heat are the bulls, and even than i'd be akin to taking the heat in 7 with LeBron and Michael going mono-e-mono in a epic clash, thatd be a draw, but i think the secondary matchups of a functional dwayne wade, and chris bosh (who step up tonight). the matchup's intrigue me...do you save michael and put scottie on LeBron, or are you worried about what bosh does to the defense indiffrent Kukoc, and stick scottie on bosh, and sacrifice some of MJ energy on Lebron, but than who guards wade? Armstong, Kerr, maybe Harper? does longley or wennington play at all, or are you riding, Kerr/Harper, MJ, Pippen, Kukoc, Rodman all game. How does chalmers and allen affect the series, or battier(who when on a shooting streak presents matchup nightmares) How does pippen or Jordan or Kukoc defend LeBron's secondary post, How many fights between Chris Anderson, and Rodman occur....so many questions...but i feel the Heat prevail in 7
  4. He is Norm. There are big guys everywhere, even at a beachy kind of place. we can only hope he is on the virgin islands...looking at swimming pools for the next tim duncan...or in Jamica for the Patrick Ewing...or in Puerto Rico talking to JBD
  5. i like this analogy...like the lotto...i had a brief small inkling of hope...we'd snag these two...than i said probably not, and i moved on.
  6. if this kid could really grow another inch or two and add some more muscle....id probly switch some of my opinion on him, granted its already raised slightly given that oklahoma is going after him meaning the homestate school wants him, and one of the video's didnt look bad...but i still dont know....are we sure Sai dosnt wanna come here...did we call him a few times...maybe make him a mixtape?
  7. at this point with the roster we have, id take the athleticism...we really need a rim protector and athlete to protect, pritch, and shields.
  8. from watching the vid you posted, im more in favor of them than i was before, but im still in wait and see mode...at this point if were recruiting a 6'10'' kid at 240 id prefer him to be athletic, but i like the comparison to JBD but i feel like given are current roster a center more like Maric is what we need, or a skilled big man that can pass from the high post..i like this kid...just not as a Plan A or B recruit. I think he can bulk up to a point where he's probably similar in size to Maric. I think he finishes at the rim better than Maric. JBD largely did that well. I think he's plays with more aggression than JBD did. I think he ends up somewhere in between what those two were. if he can end up like that, id take him

  10. makes me miss that brad guy always spouting off about CS or randomn bull he would post....terrible..
  11. not overly impressed....
  12. so just from reading ten or tweets, he is not as hilarious as Jerrain Young, but not as evasive as Matthew Atewe and his "fam" were, he has a fine appriciation for the school and one teacher..gotta get some work in...and he is mom is "wild"
  13. he reminds me of a younger bigger Zach Randolph
  14. silverback will do is best to get this over 20....but i need more substance...Sai and Atewe provided great ammo There's 6 months left until his decision. 20 seems pretty low. well there are some factors to think about, whats his twitter account...he seems well versed in recriut speak so that will certainly help the spread. i think 25 is my limit, but if we crack the top 3 this easily a 40 pager, there is the Kenny Cheatham varible we havent dived all the way into yet.
  15. hmm sad, he would be a nice add.
  16. why wont it happen?

  18. sweet jete and walker top my list of players i wish we could of had for 4 years, maybe even 5 with a redshirt, and i wish we could combine the same years as Maric...
  19. i think right now, if he continues his development that’s his floor, he has a lethal midrange game if he used it more, in that dribble pull-up game off this pick roll (which i wish Miles would use more, especially with Pitchford or Smith this season, pitchford the athleticism, can either pick and pop or roll, and smith just being a big body better set some solid screens) or can shoot from deep, i believe the d league is his floor, with possibly a passable rotation guy or fringe rotation guy as his ceiling. The NBA is changing and guys like ray can come in...there are not very many 6'6 6'7 2 guards anymore, the college game and nba are blurring together and small ball is the new in thing.
  20. But it's still a valid observation. He might have the athleticism to be in the NBA but I don't think he has the game for it. It seems to be a recurring theme (see Ubel) but I wish he would have redshirted his freshman year instead of waiting until after his sophomore year to have that epiphany. I like the kid and I think having some guys that can drive and dish to him will help a ton. I know Rey can drive but he rarely does. I'm not sure why. Even if you can't finish, get fouled. But whatever. I hope he has more success this upcoming season. Drive may not be his game, but there were a few times where he looked like he could make it his game. I believe that Ray will be a valuable asset next season no matter what role he plays. Like uneblinstu said, best defender on the team. His ability to force turnovers really surfaced this past season. I hope in the off season he can up the 3pt% a bit and find the confidence to drive. Lock him in the room with the big TVand Stephen Curry playoff videos. In college, alot of people said the same thing about curry, they questioned his durability (which is still in question) and his dribble game...now look at him...with a decent season i think Rey can at least invite some conversation as a dleague guy
  21. so now that Ubi (i dont want to attempt at spelling his name right now) is gone, any chance we go back after Mikael now, or is there someone else.
  22. so this weekend i out Downtown in Lincoln, with friends celebrating their graduation, and i noticed several Husker athletes including Baker Steinkuhler, and Brandon Ubel at the local restaurants and Bars and what i will always admire about husker fans is for the most part they treat them as normal students and people and let them just enjoy their time away from the field, My dad told me stories about, when he used to bounce at a Bar in Omaha, Rozier, and Gill would come downtown, for the most part nobody treated them any differently than the mere, handshake, and congrats. Recently I read in a recent article where Johnny Manziel at Texas A&M as stopped taking On Campus classes, and basically cannot act like a normal student (i,e, getting food at a late night restaurant, has to pump gas at odd hours). So long story short i just want to say Saturday Night made me realize how special we are as fans. Admins if i posted this in the wrong forum feel free to move to the appropriate place.
  23. we can make twenty five pages happen easily...he is visiting this weekend, which means tweeting, waiting on BR to confirm or deny rumors....than next week we can begin sweating if Miami has him the pocket, does he have any prefrence on shoe companies...than the Hyperbole begins were we really and i mean really talk ourselves into this kid...than we freakout and start looking for another player and plan D, than he (Herbert) quotes random songs, in finnish (which means they will be extra and confusing...25 pages will be easy, lets shoot for 50 by next friday. Hate to burst the bubble but look above you Bobcat. oh well....saddens me to say i was wrong...But on the flipside GO BIG RED!!!! crazy we sold out,
