he reminds me more of a DaJuan Summers type or possibly a Drew Gooden esque if he grows a little bit, but i will hold opinion til at least next yr, i look at Otto porter from GTOWN, (sorry if it seems that im going to that well to often on this board but there my legit second favorite team). however otto did a lot of what Shavon has done in his frosh year, offseason came and he put some work in lost some youthful baby fat if you will, looks longer, leaner, quicker, faster the 7 million dollar man if you will and now they are suprising a lot of analysts this season. i think shavon can do the same thing in the offseason and next season.

i had a feeling that name or shang ping or some others would be brought up and hey who's to say vooch wont pan out, im not giving up on him, im just saying guys like Ojo need to be found, if we can find a Maric, or a Diaz we can find a Ojo, or the next Mutumbo out there, or we can just do what baylor did those early Drew years, and stock up on aussie talent( Memo to Tai, if you have any 7'0" footfrriends out there that can play bball...we have spots open...or we can make spots)

i guess my gripe is a) ik doc was not known for scouting and finding those diamond in the rough players he needed and this would undoubtedly be a miss on his part in that department. but can miles find these guys? i mean a 7'1'' african center in Chattnooga, TN is gonna draw some eyes and word of mouth will spread. These are the guys we need so my hope is that miles can find them..

because the nebraska game was dreadful, i had plenty of time to watch the Florida State vs Miami, and florida state has a manimal by the name of Michael Ojo he is 7'1'' legit, 290 of pure muscle, think a young shaq or bulked up Mutumbo..anyways he is rough and out of high school, only FSU and vandy offered him, my question why do we never find diamonds in the rough like this...i mean we could use him more than FSU can, im just asking a question that bugged me the entire time he played today

I had to smile when the crowd cheers as Miles calls a time out just to get in the middle of the floor and publically scream at his players. How many of those same people criticize Pelini for yelling a players in a less obvious way. Of course people do seem to let BB coaches get away with alot in that regard - assuming they like them to begin with at least. This is certainly an area where preconceived notions impact opinions and reactions. Nee used to get crap about language etc. toward the end of his tenure - if he had done then what Miles did today people would have raked him over the coals for it. ive heard this argument a few times on this board and ive never agreed with it. Miles does many things bo cant do, mainly be social media friendly and seem like a normal guy. Bo reminds me to much of NicK Saban and Bobby Knight constanly seems angry and someone who just goes off on small things, but i also like bo and bobby knight and saben as they know how to nip things in the butt when the situation happens and players follow suit. I dont think miles is that same coach

Watching buddy play for oklahoma is just playing depressing, knowing there was a good chance he could of been a husker. And Jonathan Holmes playing dosnt help any at all.

i watched this video nine times now and i have two thoughts..1) he dosnt look 7'0 290 2) he has a weird arms they dont match his body he might have the shortest arms ive ever seen of a 7'0 footer...is this kid Sidd Finch of the 2013? i feel like he is a myth and this video to prove it.......there has to be more to tell why a program like LSU is giving this kid a schollie....he only averages like 3.0ppg and about 6rpg there has TO BE MORE!!!!!

i saw his name on rivals as a uncommited 7'0 footer and i was like hey we could get this dude.....than i googled him and became sad, i felt "catfished" i got my hopes up only to be shown this sad sad thing

bit of some backround: this is Rozelle Nix he is somewhere between 6'10 and 7'0 and 300+ i have no idea who is competition is or how old they are but whatever the case its not good

it still dosnt really help us, unless he becomes best friends with the offensive line this offseason i dont see how he helps this program

i think we can move on from vooch, i feel like a hypocrite for saying dont quit on parker, but i just dont see his spot anymore we've had spots where him or kye couldve played yet they havent so i think he is done

Couple things work in Parkers favor, though. First, he should be healthy by then, he's not now. Plus, he'll be the only true point guard on the team. Gallegos, Webster and Biggs all are more suited for the 2 spot. There will be minutes for Parker if he can get the team into and out of the offense. +1

i guess i see parker and i see an aggresive freshman that is willing to get in someones face and play strong d albeit with an injury right now. i see parker and say to myself and a year he will be healthy a year under his belt and a whole offseason to work in his jumper.

Shields- i expected he'd be solid this year and a better next, but this is just crazy he has stepped his game up to a whole new level and its awesome. I think its only gonna get better has he gets 100% which is kinda of scary considering just a 4-5 games ago we thought he might be done for the year with his elbow Rivers- he has come out of the blue this year and i think he will continue an upward trend has each game goes by and his confidence grows, id like him to shoot the jumper more and stretch the defense. Parker- i might be in the minority here but...i like him he is just a wolverine on defense and he needs more confidence in his shot, once that comes i think he will be a good player for this team. i said it before but im still in the opinon that biggs will back him up with webster if he is as advertised at the 2

Kent is a washed up guy that has a higher impression of himself than others. To say Rivers not being there when you figure what he did on defense, Kent is a bafoon. rivers and andre along with JT were the only ones to help shavon, what game was he watching
