  1. I'm very interested where he goes. He pops at times, but it's so inconsistent. And he can't shoot and is turnover prone.
  2. I'd say he fits in honestly. He's a jumbo sized ball handler that can attack defenses in multiple ways. Off passing, shooting, in the post, etc. I'm not trying to over hype him also, but I couldn't think of a better fit for Fred on offense than Griesel. @Fullbacksympathypointed out Luka, but I'll point out Dalano with Fred. When Banton was at his best, the offense executed at a very high level. That's where I think Greisel can fill in. Now, they'll need another ball handler for it to be successful, and Trey is trending in the right direction right now. You can run different things through either guy and be successful. Again, I think he's a perfect fit schematically for Fred.
  3. The expectation is lat is gone right now. Keisei is probably on the fence. Trey is trending in the right direction of coming back and Walker looks like he's coming back. So just 1 scholarship to fill
  4. Still missing at least 1 starter, 2 pending treys decision. But a packline won't work for one due to no rim protector. Walker is fine at it, but that's not his strength. A ball pressure defense could work with a hedge philosophy. All depends how the 4 looks. If he has defensive awareness and can rotate to tag the roller, or stay home if he's on shooter, it can work A drop scheme could work too with a fight over/under screen depending on shooter Zone schemes all depend on who that final piece is.
  5. NEBRASKA MENTION https://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/antonio-reeves-1.html
  6. Griesel is a guy who fits that bill a bit, but he's a more all around guy who impacts in other ways. Getting a natural scorer at the 4 might be a bit hard to get as that's a hot target for a lot of teams
  7. Yep. Which makes sense with how quiet they've been portal wise so far. Probably have an idea of who or the kind of player they want, just waiting. Could be waiting for the assistant too.
  8. Would be good news. Also in my eyes makes getting a PG in the 23 class a headlining need. Both guards will be out, and who knows how McPherson looks.
  9. He lost his connection to the Coaching staff in Abdelmassih also. He appeared on HOLs podcast a handful of times, so it's obvious that's where his Intel was coming from. I believe when transitioning from Tim to Fred, he had a major slip up with players transferring also. Released it before they actually left. He's trying to find his connection again honestly
  10. His brother decommits from Louisville. Could spell for something for him
  11. So, if Armon stays as suggested, they need an ACE recruiter. I know Armon was praised for his recruiting when he originally came (lead on Nance and kopp at NW and was lead on MAW under Tim Miles), but we haven't seen it, mainly because Matt has led the entire recruiting department and from a birds eye view has had a say in every player. But, still would like to have an energetic recruiter on staff that has connections. There's been zero speculation on who it could be. I'm trying to remember, was Nate Loesner an out of the blue hire, or was he rumored
  12. He's the only one left that I'd qualify honestly. But after Lloyd coming today, I think he's good to stay. Lat replacement and a combo guard that can score a bit and I'll be good with the last 2 spots (lat and Trey leave under this thought process)
  13. Gonna be completely honest, I'm a bit shocked. He has been reposting highlights from earlier in the season, took down everything related to Nebraska, and just trending towards leaving. I'm extremely happy he's back on board, because we have one wing with game experience this past year (CJ) and Dawson who redshirted. Getting him on board will help that. Assuming Trey and lat leave, I would get a bigger wing who can play down to the 4, or a 4 who can play the 5, either works. And then a ball handler.
  14. I kinda thought the same. Only other iffy one though is Keisei, and he's probably mulling. But those must've been the "expected".
  15. You hit on most of what I saw too. I'm kinda excited about what he can turn into.
  16. With last year's free year across college, I actually think you're right.
  17. we're good here
  18. If they wanted to gamble on someone, maybe lander fits that bill? Kinda shocked he went back to IU originally last year.
  19. I like Adidas, but I always prefer under armour.
  20. Assistant shifting is my guess as to why. Griesel we had home court advantage on at least. I'm mildly shocked though that we haven't appeared on any of these. At least from my knowledge
