Chuck Taylor didn't pose a hypothetical, he provided statistics comparing the two. Considering Bryce is essentially our #1 option on offense and Branham is OSU's #2 option at this point, to me, it's not as clear cut as us Husker fans might think. Both are deserving IMO and both will have an opportunity tonight to further make their case. I'll add that Branham is the reason we didn't beat OSU the first meeting and has come up big in other conference games that were W's (at Illinois comes to mind) for OSU.

Wilcher has been a huge liability on D so far this game. Just bad match ups for him regardless who he's guarding.

Did it warrant the shove? No, but the actions of both players may have come into play as to why the refs decided to go with the flagrant 1.

Robbie Hummel was told by the official that the shove occurred after the play had stopped. Apparently for this type of dead ball infraction, the player is assessed a flagrant 1, thus no ejection.

Yes, we need better talent, but the clip has nothing to do with talent. This is basic stuff. Either Trey or Bryce was responsible for blocking out the shooter and neither one did. I could say this is on the coaches, but I can't imagine the McGowens brothers haven't been taught this at some point in time during their basketball career. Having said this, if, and it appears to be a big IF, players are being held accountable by the coaching staff for these types of errors, whatever they are doing isn't working.

Regarding Keisei, one thing I've noticed that could limit him playing the point is that he does not use his right hand to pass the ball or shoot it for that matter. He seems to dribble fine with his off hand however. Having said this, I don't see him filling this role.

There is no doubt that we shouldn't be where we are in year 3 under Fred, but I'm curious who those upperclassmen would be? In part due to the extra covid year, we could have the following players still here: Akol Arop Kevin Cross Cam Mack Shamiel Stevenson Dachon Burke Samari Curtis Jervay Green Yvan Ouedraogo Thor Thorbjarnarson Delano Banton Teddy Allen Elijah Wood Of this group, the biggest loss IMO was Banton who left on his own. Curtis did as well. Some sent themselves packing. Cross is the one player I wish we would have kept as his game has developed and I think he would have fit in well with this team. Who else would have been better fits than who we currently have on the roster?
