  1. Best for both parties involved. Thank you Wilhelm for your contributions and hard work and incredible meme-ability. Best of luck at your next destination. Has all the potential in the world to be successful if he finds the right fit.
  2. Griesel, Scheierman, and Tonje were straight up misses out of high school and a lot of people wanted them to get more serious looks. Allick developed, wasn't not a P5 D1 guy and the route he ended up worked out best for everyone. Kinda wish we woulda looked at him after UMKC but it is what it is. Wrightsell, same thing, and not sure I really wanted him even after transferring. Pal, Robinson - definitely not P5 guys out of High School and still might not be but I'm not sure. Daum - literally everyone in the nation missed on him. Including SDSU who redshirted him and considered giving him the boot. NAIAs missed on him and weren't sure if he was worth a full scholarship (trust me on that one).
  3. I thought the portal was closed?

  6. Again, re-using this reference, there's a better shot Ana De Armas will answer my DMs than he's making that much.
  7. Now that he’s no longer a prospect for us - can I just say that kid has a very punchable face?
  8. I saw a lefty fist pump in there, I'm all in.
  9. I mean it's not even a question that it's Nelson for me. But I feel like the addition of Allick and the fact that neither (or all) Wilcher, Breidenbach, or Keita entered the transfer portal - tells me we might not have a spot. Which would be highly unfortunate as I believe he's an instant "put you near the top of the conference" type of player. But it is what it is, and we don't have the luxury to wait it out.
  10. Awesome to have the third Lopez brother in the building. I'm sure Brook and Robin are proud.
  11. I can't see Gary getting bumped but who knows. Neither shoots the 3 well, but Gary can guard all 5 spots. I wanna see the Nebrasketball Line-up of Death: 1. Lawrence 2. KT 3. Lloyd 4. Williams 5. Gary #letitfly
  12. Ha I was just messing with ya, Art.
  13. How dare you imply Sam isn't good enough.
  14. Would this person theoretically fit in the "C Imma Dunkonyu" spot even though they're not a traditional center? Also - you were not wrong or receiving bad information on Chucky. There was legit smoke there for an extended period of time. Not sure what changed.
  15. Well F me I guess. Birds are stupid.
  16. WELLL THEN.......... some birds don't know when to shut up I guess.
  17. I'm excited for all the Boehm hate. It was always good to have a specific person targeted out for every ounce of failure of Nebrasketball history. Even before he was born, or before he worked here, or after he worked here. You didn't know why, you just knew it was his fault.
  18. Not a bad pick-up. Obviously the staff, with agreement from the players, felt there was definitely a need from more of a "point guard" type position. I don't feel we would have done this if they didn't believe KT and JL would be happy with it, at least. No idea on Lloyd Jr., but I also don't know exactly what his position/role is. I mean... starting experience for solid teams in the B1G, NBA level athlete (not an NBA guy, I believe, but athletically gifted), and a dawg defensively.
  19. I knew exactly what this was going to be about before I even opened the thread.
  20. I don't think we were going to. I think we were going to lose a lot of games 58-53 and be doing more of the (well, we did this anyways), "omg we're so close!"
  21. But we still got "lucky" to do it. KT, SH, JL weren't even going to see the floor if it weren't for injuries. I have not hidden the fact that I was absolutely geeked up by last year, but to come on this board and be like "bet you didn't expect us to win much more than 10 games!" is pretty asine all things considered.
  22. And we were? 16 wins isn't exactly something to write home about. Plus, the "best" version of this team was riding the bench and wouldn't have existed if it weren't for injuries, specifically your handle namesake.
