There was a study that came out a few years back that concluded that there is no such thing as "getting hot," or, "being on a heater." I just want to point to KT every time.

I won't stand for any DRiv slander. It's James Palmer or Jete for me.

WTF? Ted Carter to tOSU? WTF?

No, we're not on the same page here. Honestly I used that phrasing because I forgot the guys name, but figured it'd work. -

IDK man... this reminds me of all the people who thought Thou Who Shall Not Be Named was such an negative, dark, incompetent influence on the MBB and the actual reason we are bad. -

I am at the same time shocked by this and perplexed why anyone cares. NU fans have an unhealthy obsession with thinking administration is that important. We only know about it and try to blame it when we’re losing. Administration is just not as important as we make it out to be. Good coaches and good players trump all. Anyways… what are Roburt Sallie and Keyontae Johnson up to? -
Pinnacle Bank Arena Turns 10

Man it's hard to remember just one as far as Husker Hoops go - I just generally remember how great of a job Tim Miles did in turning that place into a nightmare for opposing teams, very quickly. Also always remember the pre-game introduction video Copeland's final year that was sick "Welcome to the Party." For me personally, I've gotten to coach there and been to some great concerts. -

Reink International Competition
basketballjones replied to AuroranHusker's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
I'm hoping he can score more in the 12ppg range. Getting at least 90% of DW's scoring. Because I don't think he's going to get 90% of his assists. Might get more rebounds though, I'm not sure. -

Forecasting 2023-24 lineup

To these two points. Man I never saw it before, but thanks for pointing that out - Lawrence is so an Izzo player it's crazy. Ulis aint playing this year. There's just no way. I feel like everyone is stepping gently around it, but he's done. That gambling on Iowa Football is an auto out. -
Forecasting 2023-24 lineup
basketballjones replied to Norm Peterson's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
That was my exact 3. Keisei is just going to have (knock on wood) a lot of big scoring games that I think average wise he'll lead us. But I think we're going to have a lot of different leading scorers. I could see Williams and Mast being the more consistent ones. I just know how they are going to score. -

At the end of the season, in my head anyways, I see Williams being our 3rd leading scorer average wise, and many nights where he's the lead. -

I'm on day 3 of leading a bunch of adults in training - mentally and physically exhausted. I needed this. Juice for the day. -

No idea if he does or not - but he did leave Missouri and go back to where he got a lot of touches, so you tell me? This is an incredible pick-up and I’m jacked about it. Maybe I need to keep clarifying that. My new “Cross could be serviceable by his junior or senior year.” -

So you’ve named 7 people for 2-3 spots. 7 people who all think they should be playing and probably could, hence why it’s a bit of a logjam. Not to mention Gary could probably play a 3 in certain line-ups (he could? Idk), and you haven’t mentioned guys like Sam or Cale, one who you know will play and a second who’s gotten a lot of tic this summer and done well with it. Never said it wasn’t a big pick up. I’m ecstatic about it - just am acknowledging and agreeing with the concerns of the poster I originally quoted. -

Yep, agreed. Kinda got a log-jam at the 2-3 position. Wasn't necessarily in love with the Ulis pick-up but I didn't worry about where he fit in offensively (as far as taking things away from others), was more happy about adding a defender who didn't necessarily need the ball. This guy definitely "needs" the ball. He's very skilled offensively. -

I got "middle-class man James Palmer's" vibe from his highlights. Not quite the athlete or length as JP, but I saw some similarities. Long striders, smooth, like the ball in their hands, strokes looked kinda similar... Good pick-up! Doesn't look much like a PG, but certainly looks like he has good court vision and passing skills. -

Disappointing. Not sure how much this will truly hurt us from a basketball perspective, but I certainly thought he’d be a good defender and sure ball handler (which we need). Hoping we can find a good fill in. That all being said, I’m mostly disappointed because this kid’s character is going to be dragged through the mud and most likely his college career is over. All for doing something that millions upon millions of college aged to retirement aged dudes do all over America. Admittedly The biggest issue is supposedly gambling on an Iowa athletics game. Very stupid thing to do and I’m sure he’s kicking himself. But I still feel bad for the guy!
