  1. Yeah I guess I am thinking about this the wrong way.
  2. I was under the impression this penalty included a loss of a year of eligibility.
  3. He's been in practice/scrimmage videos too... Pretty perplexed. His case seems pretty cut and dry.
  4. One thing I'm going to say about this roster that I have rarely ever been able to see from a Nebrasketball team - they look strong. Kudos to our S&C staff on the guys who've been here a while, and Kudos to Fred and Co. for identifying older, physically mature guys in the transfer portal to bring in. I've felt, many years, one of our biggest issues was we looked thin, physically immature to our competitors, and broke down towards the end of the season.
  5. Well, geesh - let's hang his damn jersey already then.
  6. I don't know if this is our "best" roster... But it certainly seems to be, on paper anyways, our most "complete" roster. Everyone should probably cool their jets a bit on Diop. Long ways to go if he's going to operate in our offense like how we seem to want to use our bigs. Right now, if he's in the game, you've gotta be in a different offense (i.e., like a 4 around opposite post).
  7. Trying to see if he can still figure out how good he can be.
  8. But you have to factor in the fact that KT didn't play much in the first 1/4 of the season. I think he'll clear 200 attempts pretty easily.
  9. If KT shoots anywhere near 40% again this year I predict we will have a very good season. He's going to get 200+ 3pt attempts this year I'd imagine. Baylor Scheierman took 239 and Caleb Love took 244 last year.
  10. Fred mentioned it to me in passing while @Norm Peterson and I were dining at Venue. It was kind of annoying for him to interrupt Norm and me but it is what it is.
  11. Great comparison. More athletic though, imo. Honestly I think has a higher ceiling scoring wise, but great comparison from a big-wing, versatility standpoint. If he's half the character guy Shavon was, he'll be just fine.
  12. That all being said, it didn't earn the nickname "The Library" by accident.
  13. Wife and I went to NYC last year in September for the US Open, visited all the 9/11 Memorial stuff. Just really brought it all into perspective for me. Something I will never forget. We got into a conversation with a couple waiting in line at a coffee shop, who asked us where we were from and what we were doing in NYC. At the time, we didn't even know they were from NYC, and we told them we had just got done seeing all of the 9/11 Memorials this morning. Like idiots we started in on talking about how powerful and sad it was to us... Thankfully they were very patient and gave us grace, and then gently informed us they were from NYC and lost relatives in the towers. Both started getting choked up about it, 11 years later. The thing that will never leave my mind that we saw at the 9/11 Memorial Museum was the perfectly preserved shop hat they have on display. https://www.nytimes.com/2006/08/25/nyregion/25chelsea.html . Truly surreal. Where was everybody else on 9/11?
  14. I got bad news for ya buddy....
  15. I don't disagree with you in the sense that we are the best fans on earth as far as continuing to show up and financially supporting our teams. However, as individuals, this is a nasty, negative, chicken-little, soft fan base that - imo - often does more harm than good with the expectations and vibes we put out. I include myself in this btw. I've been embarrassed by myself this week on how I've felt/handled the Minnesota loss, and then subsequently see the Colorado game. It's the dudes first game with a brand new staff and qb - why am I still right in Frost mode? Also - why wouldn't I want Colorado to be good? What kind of soft sh** attitude is that to want an opponent to be bad so we can hopefully win?
  16. That can't ALL happen at once - so we should be good!
  17. There was a study that came out a few years back that concluded that there is no such thing as "getting hot," or, "being on a heater." I just want to point to KT every time.
  18. I won't stand for any DRiv slander. It's James Palmer or Jete for me.
  19. No, we're not on the same page here. Honestly I used that phrasing because I forgot the guys name, but figured it'd work.
  20. IDK man... this reminds me of all the people who thought Thou Who Shall Not Be Named was such an negative, dark, incompetent influence on the MBB and the actual reason we are bad.
  21. I am at the same time shocked by this and perplexed why anyone cares. NU fans have an unhealthy obsession with thinking administration is that important. We only know about it and try to blame it when we’re losing. Administration is just not as important as we make it out to be. Good coaches and good players trump all. Anyways… what are Roburt Sallie and Keyontae Johnson up to?
  22. Man it's hard to remember just one as far as Husker Hoops go - I just generally remember how great of a job Tim Miles did in turning that place into a nightmare for opposing teams, very quickly. Also always remember the pre-game introduction video Copeland's final year that was sick "Welcome to the Party." For me personally, I've gotten to coach there and been to some great concerts.
  23. So glad his red cross military saving the children and pride for his country tour is over. I'M JOKING EVERY CHILL OUT
