Mitchell ended up being ranked the best play in the state if that’s worth anything. If we miss out on Amir Harris I don’t think taking a chance on him would be a terrible idea, he would need to redshirt tho. If push came to shove and we could just land Mitchell Chang and wingett(grades seem to be an issue) on top of Davis and Heiman I’d actually be pretty excited about the class. None would be high level contributors their first year but I’m not sure we really need that

It never made much sense in the first place for nana to leave. He got his wish of not redshirting(which was a dumb wish), there’s plenty of minutes available this year, and we were winners his first year on campus, it's a lot harder to leave when things are going good than when they are going bad( see morrow, Jacobson, Benedict Arnold ) -
After giving us the business last year w the schedule it appears the Big 10 threw us a bone this year. Possibly 6 or 7 conferences too 25 teams at home and possibly 4 or 5 on the road

If @HB don’t say, I don’t believe it after his insite on Xavier -
I don’t know where his game is at currently but I don’t think if he comes here we necessarily redshirt him. He can shoot and is pretty athletic. Sounds like a possible back end rotation guy to me next year. if he has to play the 4 spot he would likely get broke in the BIG 10. But I guess roby played some 4 his freshman year

A center that can make 4 outta 5 layups and or dunks would be worth an extra 6 points per game to us if not more.

Anyone hear anything about his workout from Tuesday. I saw he is now listed at 6’8” 180 pounds -
Let me get this straight...

I’m willing to bet on a motivated palmer being back. I’m willing to bet on robys exponential growth w a whole offseason of work. I’m willing to bet on jordys offseason growth now that he’s not injured. I’m willing to bet on Allen’s potential w actual rotation minutes. And im Willing to bet there’s enough other talent to fill in the gaps. -
2018 G Xavier Johnson - Decommit to Pitt
B-town hoopsfan replied to ajb5856's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
Yup he’s looking at 2-3 years of 30+ minutes a game and possibly bein the main man if roby leaves next year. Very intrigued by the guy we offered yesterday however. -

I believe uconn filled up their last scholarship today w a St. John’s transfer and Georgetown got their point gaurd of the future a couple days ago. Hopefully he listens to his mom and still gives us a look. -

Yup he’s going to sail off into the sunset or get fired of coarse. My bet is he wins between 20-25 games next year w by far the best team he’s ever had in Lincoln. Everyone takes notice in the Midwest and he slides into a fat contract at the likes of a Minnesota or some other school similar to Nebraska that’s looking to run off their coach. All while we are wondering why moos( I think he’s a jackwagon already) ran off the guy who finally had the program pointed in the right direction. O and we will lose 6-8 guys after next year so the next coach will also be screwed. Great freaking day to be a husker mr. Moos. -
If I was a prep coach I’d want him in the post too I’m just saying as far as the next level goes they aren’t doin him any favors. I’d also argue that Nebraska is increasing robys value by showing he can play the 3 to 5 positions. Would be an excellent pick n pop 4 off of someone’s bench in the NBA in a few years
-
you wonder if miles and company even seriously scouted this guy?
-
He’s got some pretty crazy tools athleticism wise. Creighton Prep is sorta stunting his growth in my mind since hes essentially their center from the games I saw last year.
-
UCLA already replaces him and their fans are pissed from what I saw, wonder if he would have any interest even if we gave him a call.

Dachon Burke SO. transfer Robert Morris ->
B-town hoopsfan replied to hhcmatt's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
Could help replace palmers Driving ability and FT production for 19-20. I wonder how many scholarships the staff thinks will be open. I count mcveighs, Xavier’s, and probably copes. I hope to fill mcveighs w Chang. I would think we leave Xavier’s open until he decides what he’s going to do. If you give this guy copes scholarship we will be out and still short a big guy. They could pull borchardts I suppose to get another but that’s kinda a bad look isn’t it? -
Xavier Johnson isn't N
B-town hoopsfan replied to Navin R. Johnson's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
With uconn taking Brendan Adams and tarin smith over the weekend( 2 smaller guards ) and only having 1 scholarship left for now it would seem they have no room for Xavier. Don’t know if it helps us but atleast he won’t follow Hunter it looks like -
Would be a hell of a get but seems very unlikely at this point. I’d just like to hear something about anyone who’s interested in the job or that Miles has contacted about the job.

Averaged 17 and a pretty impressive 6 boards a game for a 6’4” gaurd. Would he sit 1 to play 2? -

Anyone know who his lead recruiter was before he committed to UW? Guessing it probably wasn’t hunter but I could be wrong? -

I’m looking to move past Xavier as he is likely uconn bound now( which might speak to the kids character that he would just jump to a school that had no previous interest that I know of ). Barring anyone else transferring and assuming only Copeland leaves to go pro the roster looks fairly good for 18-19. Even 19-20 would have promise with Allen Thor nana Davis Heiman and hopefully a senior roby and Jordy. Now granted I’m well aware the wheels could fall off here any day now and we could lose 2-3 transfers

This would be a real blow to our future outlook IMO if it happens
