Roby would likely flourish at the 4 position. At some point roby will probably get tired of having to gaurd bigger 5s. However yes our depth would then be an issue, would need a grad transfer

it’s probably not the worst thing if cope leaves, palmer would obviously be a big blow. it will be interesting to see if Xavier can shoot enough to play the two because he looks like a point to me at this point in his career

IMO we should give miles a 4 year 12 mil extension and give whatever assistants we need 200k to 300k raises. Some coaches can let assistants come n go but at this point we need to continuity.

Morrow was essentially palmers size plus 20 pounds, let that sink in then imagine him going against fives in this league( not sure what his wing span is put it’s likely compable to palmers) you really can’t blame him for transferring out and probably should question if he wasn’t over ranked as a prospect. Wish him the best at Marquette but inless his range significantly improves he’s playing the five there too. Jacobson woulda made a great 5, had some range n some defensive mobility. But he didn’t wanna play the 5 either so best wishes to him at Iowa state too. The funny thing is we basically play positionless basketball now inless jordy is on the floor, morrow n Jacobsen probably woulda fit into that just in reduced rolls

Either fire him or extend him 4+ years, anything else is a hinderance to the program. Even with some roster attrition this will probably be the best team in place to start a year for the skers in the last decade.

Iowa is an attacking gaurd away from being good next year. Garza is gonna cause pple fits for a lot of years it looks like.

Good question since Iowa just played 4 posts vs them for the last ten minutes of the half and is still winning. The amount of open floor seats is laughable, hope the big ten decision makers enjoy seeing that

Thank you, in no way is Copeland a bad player, he’s probably a top ten player in the last decade for the skers but if he comes back n really works on that aspect of his game he probably has a chance to be a second round pick as a guy who can get you 10 boards n shoot in the high 30% range from 3 point land. when you guys are referring to his show are you talking about him being on jim Rome? If not can you post a link to what your referring to?

He’s got 10 more boards than roby In 238 more minutes and 55 more boards than jordy in 542 more mins. We are gonna have to agree to disagree on this I think. Copeland is a very good player for us especially on the offensive end but I am not a fan of his post positioning and rebounding on defense

If we are calling that boxing out then he is just in very poor positions a lot of the time IMO. Good info, sure hope that both thor and nana don’t transfer tho

Palmer is probably average on defense. Copeland is definitely below constantly gets beat for post position and rarely boxes out even seems to be a step slow off the dribble half the time. Roby has just been able to mask all this over the last ten games or so I’d agree with colhuskers neither are NBA ready. Palmer could probably catch on w an nba bench n cope would be either G league or a euro league guy

We match up very well w Michigan, They have improved significantly since our last matchup but so have we. Plus I think Iowa gives them a scare if they can get past Illinois. Palmer just seems like he has no legs under him so hopefully 4 days off will change that. That being said we are coming off back to back games where it was more of a 5 or 6 guy offensive win that just a palmer n another guy win so I’m pretty pumped for Friday, probably gonna take the day off just to watch it

Hopefully miles keeps hammering away at the transfer market, turning into what Iowa state was would not be a bad thing, I would like to see us focus more on local talent when trying to round out our roster in an effort to keep them at the school n develop them over 4 years if the local talent is worthy of an offer. Just seems more likely an instate kid won’t transfer out if not playing. Love that we got Heiman

If Watkins plays Sunday n it looks like a huge IF his mobility n shot blocking will definitely be affected. michigsn took one outta our book here w the zone. Penn state has no answer for it since Carr always has the ball in his hands and the 1 3 1 kinda neutralizes that aspect of an offense. The way people talk of chambers I doubt he makes an adjustment in 3 days. Hopefully our zone which should be much more refined than Michigan’s will be on lock Sunday

anyone closer to the program know if nana not playing this year is to do w his current level of development or is it more of having two seniors ahead of him? I always figured it was the seniors but I am just basing that off of his high school film and the fact that he spends a lot of time in the gym. i can’t help but think that Xavier is gonna come in and take some minutes from Glynn. Xavier attacks the bucket hard and really seems to have a knack for getting others involved. More of a PG then a SG in my eyes

I think the same thing during the games. Is it just me or were we actually running plays to begin the year? Like why not try some lobs to roby or some three pointer looks for allen or gill not just the grenade lob in to jordy or palmer then resetting the offense every time?

Not much can be done about bad officiating. There were several bad calls on the huskers last night in my opinion that the zebras then compounded by making an even worse make up call in the other side of the court . That like 12 minutes run to end the first half where Indiana didn’t get called for fouls pretty much sums up whoever was reffing last night

Jack can’t gaurd other twos n threes so it is unlikely he eats up any of gill n Taylor’s minutes next year

probably one of the greatest things jordy could do this off-season is just watch a ton of fundamental videos, if he strictly improved fundamentals and no actual skill parts of his game he would be a 3rd team all big ten type player. If he could just catch gather and go up in one motion he will average 8 to 10 points a game next year

The big dube has a role but it’s a limited one. He basically blocks shots n can catch lobs n get tip slams. Jordy for his flaws is taller, a better rebounder, n can actually have the offense run through him for spurts on the block. im pretty satisfied w the rotation or roby cope n Jordy myself. They all have roles n have deleoped nicely in them I think. At the big ten level dube is basically a 5 min guy when your in foul trouble, I love the guys energy n toughness but he’s just not skilled. not sure on the switching aspect. I’d like to see the bigs switch alil more as Copeland is out of position a lot in the post. Jordy needs to learn to just let them shoot jumpers to and not bite on every fake as he does before fouling usually

Let me rephrase norm as you have a good point I think roby can finish with both hands as well as hit jumpers outta the post. But he currently has no concept or just doesn’t have the body to get post position. N probably 75 percent of post play is position and foot work IMO

We were actually 9 for 9 the BTN guys had said then we missed atleast 7 in a row down the stretch I think

He can’t really post up at this point but he’s open on atleast a bakers dozen rolls per game and like wide open for a split second usually. It would be nice to see them cut back on the three pointers some in an effort to force feed those rolls

I’d agree he seemed a bit off but still was a rebound away from a double double. He was 1 for 3 in the mid post area which is just fantastic to see him there. That will be the area where the most growth in his game will show for next year IMO. Love that he’s takin 3s w confidence now too so dangerous to have him n cope out there together when we play the bigger teams
