Your take that it’s not hard to win here based on the fact that we only need 5 guys not 15. We had 5 good ones to start the year and it’s gotten us to this point. If it was easy to build a consistent winner here the last 20 years wouldn’t have went how they did.

Yup royalfan seems to have all the answers today. Maybe he will be considered in the coaching search since he seems to know how to make us into a winner.

Not sure what he makes now but I would think if we offered him say two million a year he would take it and miles would understand what a raise like that would do for his family n be okay with it. I’m not saying he’s the guy for the job but I don’t think the whole firing his mentor would be the hold up.

He hasn’t really won anything yet however he is a great coach. Plays a brand of ball we would love but the hire would not go over well with probably about half the fan base. I think he probably coaches a few seasons at Utah state then comes back to coach somewhere in the big ten since most of his ties are Midwest

Really admire what pikell has going on a Rutgers right now. Imo what he is building there is basically the same blue print we are gonna have to use here to get things going in the right direction.

Isn’t he regarded as the lead recruiter for most of the players during the hoiberg years there?

There’s been a lot of misses in 7 years. That being said if guys stay there is some talent on this roster for the next guy to develop

We likely have atleast two more win if any starter other than Copeland got hurt. If it was jpj who in fact got hurt I think we are actually pushing 20 wins based on the fact the Allen and Watson woulda had the ball in their hands more and we would of still had what was proceived to be our biggest strength going into the year(roby,cope) still in the front court.

Gosh we need to find our version of Mitch Cronin. All they do is win and you never hear about them on national media stations. Cincinnati had a basketball history before hiring him but they took a chance on a guy in his 30s

Ideally we throw like 2.5 mil at matta and tell him he’s 1.5 mil for your assistants. So we are committing 4 million yet also committing to paying assistants good money to hopefully retain them for 3-5 years at a time.
