We're just not a good team.

Dimes, you know how poorly I deal with change....

While it's on the other side of the fun spectrum, I'd put it on the probability level of Norm's entire post happening. Only because of his prediction as to Link.

Pop had an extra dose of surly last night. He is a smart, diverse guy, and fantastic coach, but last night he came off more like an arrogant prick. Well, his team played like dung. Might be his reason for being extra prickly. No excuse. That's part of the deal. But I'm all about Nebraska Nice.

Hemp seed? Is that legal in Nebraska?

AW-III IS BACK FOR HIS SENIOR SEASON (SOMEWHERE)
HB replied to AuroranHusker's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
No, but message board group think is a wonderful thing. I get that there can be issues with message board group think. I don't think that's quite the issue here, though. It's not about what your information was and whether or not it was accurate; it's about what you proposed to do with it. That's where you ran into problems. It's kinda like, can we just cross that bridge if and when we get to it? He idea that Tim Miles can do no wrong is groupthink. Guys like Mike Schaefer even on Twitter today says he has thought all along that White is gone. This is the straw for me. Bad hires, guys leaving for non NBA teams early, etc. I can be a Nebraska fan and not support Tim Miles, just like others did when Barry Collier was here. Keep in mind that none of my Tim Miles issues have to do with things in his personal life, that isn't part of this equation. At some point it's about on court results and not being funny behind a microphone... You say it's not personal, but in almost each shot you take at Miles, you include the "funny guy" act in a derisive fashion. You sure aren't sticking with just basketball. -
Wisky announced the hire several weeks ago. This article just discloses the pay. Wiscy actually made its hire prior to NU making its hire.

Jake Meyers is a ball player. That is all

AW-III IS BACK FOR HIS SENIOR SEASON (SOMEWHERE)

...if he leaves, I'm blaming you! We actually did that with TP!!! Actually gave him a congratulatory hug and told him we would look forward to his last year. That didn't work out so well. More to the story, we actually sat right next to the family of David Rivers. His Dad was a bit gruff at first, but after a few minutes he warmed up to us and we had a lengthy and great conversation. Of course he then passed away soon thereafter. Sad. Speaking of graduation: Doc Sadler's son Landon graduated from UNL yesterday with highest distinction. That is a pretty cool story. -
ICascio Jensen is more of s combo guard. So I don't think this means anything in relation to Doyle. People are seriously under estimating CJ's work ethic. A bunch of power conference recruiters must have under estimated it as well.

Your last paragraph is way out of line. Those things aren't remotely the essence of this board. But if White used a scholarship for 2 years and now leaves to play in Europe, it wouldn't be hard to understand a few posters expressing some disappointment. -

AW III just got his diploma and walked in front of me. I somehow resisted the urge to yell "Come Back Andrew!" -
Kenya was kind of a beast when we got him. Georgetown > Butler? Kenya has some recruiting cred after some of his gets here. If Lewis ends up being the best hire that will say something great about Lewis. Molinari was no slouch when we got him either (even if he catches hell on here), from a reputation in the basketball world. I love the Lewis hire, but from a "where's he at; what's he done" standpoint, I don't have him jumping out as the best hire.

It's a small world out there. I've seen this pic all day on here, and just found out my daughter's boyfriend took the photo. I told him getting on this site is a MAJOR accomplishment!

I don't see us having an overly talented team. You could be right, but I don't see it. I had no intention on stating that their talent level in Lincoln was high-end. I do think they have good hitters, but getting hits in crucial spots has been lacking. Same with the consistency of the pitching staff. This weekend will likely tell all, so we'll have to wait & see. Aurora, what's this "they" stuff? This is the Huskers. Shouldn't it be "we" and "us" vs. "they" and "theirs".

I am going to say this though. If we are going to run and run and run, Jess is going to have to get in better shape, she is toooo slow and her endurance is questionable. There were times this year that she could have played better but was too tired to do so at a high level. I have said for years we have a lot of plodders. Teams that gave Nebraska fits were long and quick. We've had some players who can run. Hounds like Vonnie Turner and Tee. And long players who can run the floor like Cady and Page.

The last they spoke was the day of her hiring press conference? That's only a few days before Natalie asked for a transfer. Wouldn't emotions still be running high that day? What would it hurt if the coach kept in contact with her to see just where she stands periodically? Some kids are really shy the way it is especially in a situation like this and contacting the new staff may be very uncomfortable to them. I would think with someone of Natalie's stature, Coach Amy would at least show her some kind of interest in wanting her to continue playing here by keeping the communication between player and new coach open. I'll be very disappointed if what these two discussed on April 12th is what the coach deemed was the final say! Very troubling

Well, SP did all but tell Barry to leave. He didn't extend his contract, the death knell of a coach, while he waited for the right timing to get Majerus on board. But Barry thwarted it by departing in August, leaving SP in a lurch. Literally it is true Barry wasn't told to leave at that moment in time, but he was done at the end of that year and he knew it.

not alone on that one! I have some anti-nausea medication left over from a surgery; saved it for moments like this.....
