  1. Dylan Travis is a straight up baller
  2. I feel like this was always going to be an issue next year regardless. The hope is that we can counter that with more talented guard play.
  3. IMO Arop is different just because throughout the year he really didn't play at all. Cross played significant minutes and I believe was worth investing in. But then again what the hell do I know?
  4. I understand that, but who's going to stay on a team where, as Sip is indicating, the coach is telling you to find greener pastures. I would hope that our staff was more or less indifferent on his decision rather than insisting that he leaves.
  5. See this I somewhat have a problem with. Cross was a project no doubt, but I'd rather we invest in a guy that we can all see would improve dramatically with an off-season of college nutrition/strength and conditioning if he's willing to stick with the team, continue to work on his shot, become even more comfortable within the system, and battle it out. If that wasn't the case and he was leaning towards leaving because he wanted more playing time then so be it, but if he was willing to stay I would hope the staff would be more open to developing over the course of 3-4 years rather than insisting to leave.
  6. Couldn't agree more, Norm. The risk of getting the disease will not outweigh the desire to live like you'd want in August like it is now for most people.
  7. Gotta be Lakes
  8. Aim for a .500 overall record. Anything above that is gravy to me. I'm personally viewing this as Year 1.
  9. I agree with this. I expect us to be around .500 this coming year. Which would be a solid improvement from 7-24 and a big step into the 2021 season. A few thoughts/concerns with the roster. Teddy is a straight up baller. He keeps his head straight he’ll be our best player IMO. King is also a proven entity at the B1G level so hopefully he can play next year. The rest of the roster I’m in wait and see mode. Not very high on Stevenson. I think Banton is a freak in measurables but is turning into the typical off-season over-hyped guy that we do to ourselves every year. Hopefully I'm wrong but I just have a feeling. Webster shoots at a high clip but is also a volume scorer. And idk what to think on bigs. I’m told Yvan is ahead of Walker so I’m assuming he’ll start still. As the roster stands now (no Sanogo) rebounding will still be an issue, but even if we do land Adama, the main take away from this roster is where are the proven 3 point shooters? HCFH’s offense needs them, and besides Teddy and maybe Webster I just don’t see them on here (Thor too, but if Thor’s playing 25-30 mins a game next year we’re in trouble). So right now I'm cautiously optimistic for next year. GBR
  10. He's a pretty bad point guard, but if Kentucky sees him as a 3 and D player I could see that working.
  11. He’s going to Kentucky word on the street. Which is insane to me.
  12. Sorenson had a meltdown about Creighton this morning on Early Break. It was very funny. https://www.theticketfm.com/podcasts/morningtake/2020_04_09_1.mp3
  13. I’ll give him the Teddy one just because he can be considered a head case based on his past. Not saying he can’t change, but the proof is in the pudding with what there is to go off of as of now.
  14. He’s talking about Teddy. Not Thomas.
  15. Remembered this convo about Jay Scrubb from back in January and randomly came across this new highlight vid of him on twitter. Wow.
  16. Kobe King wasn’t exactly missed by the Wisconsin faithful either, considering they went 9-1 after he left. I do have faith that a new offense will help him utilize his strengths more freely tho.
  17. This is actually way more entertaining than you would think. The live fan interaction during the games on youtube is hilarious.
  18. Definitely see him going any route to make money, overseas or G-League or whatever.
  19. I've stated many times before that I have nothing against CU. But I also understand if you hate them. It's a rivalry. I'm more calling out your reveling on the injury of student athletes.
  20. Oh come on that was not a defending CU statement. When did I say I thought they were elite? You guys can have your opinions about calling other programs out while we lose 16 straight and win a total of 7 games with awful defense and a dysfunctional roster. I can have my opinion that I think that that's so embarrassing that we look kinda dumb talking about it. The beauty of message boards.
  21. We have plenty of our own issues to be dealing with before we start telling other programs how truly good they are or not haha
  22. Completely agree. This may sound bad, but I don't really think "fit" and "team chemistry" when I think of Teddy Allen either. Hopefully the young man proves me wrong.
  23. You can say the team has "improved" since UC Riverside and Southern Utah, but losing 16 straight isn't exactly the improvement I was expecting.
  24. Nevertheless, I still wouldn’t take too much out of it until national analysts come in and vote.
