  1. My assumption is most coaches do not want to play in the NIL world but have to say they are in favor of it. I would hate it if I was a college coach. Used to be you would recruit kids based on your school or coaches but now you just recruit them on how much money you can offer them.
  2. That is correct which is why I was so critical of our non-conference schedule. It could bite us in the end with such a low SOS. This a Doc Sadler kind of schedule and absolutely no non conference home games that will draw much of a crowd and/or atmosphere. It would be extremely disappointing to just make NIT this year.
  3. I attended the scrimmage as well. I agree with your assessment. It will be interesting with Rollie and Ahron as they both are very solid and are both good enough to be the starter. We are big this year which is nice for a change. This could be a very dangerous team once they all settle in and accept their roles on the team. Lots of veteran players. Totally agree on Cale. He is a good player but his minutes will be very limited and not sure who you are going to take minutes away from. Branden needs to redshirt. It would be a waste of year for him if he doesn't.
  4. Seems we could say that about every recruit and they they somehow sign with another school.
  5. Why would the Big 12 want SDSU? They don't bring much to the table.
  6. I believe it's an 11am game time.
  7. That is accurate as I was able to grab 2 midcourt seats but magically new seats kept popping up when I refreshed that were there a minute ago.
  8. I got my tickets and sitting at mid court in row 5. Can't wait!!!!
  9. That is accurate that you put your in a position that the only acceptable loss would be to CU. Any other loss (other than maybe St. Mary's most likely will be a Q3 or Q4 loss. And with how bad our non-conference schedule is, you can't have any bad losses if you want to make the tournament.
  10. I will go to every game as well but there won't be a big crowd or much excitement for these games. You couldn't get a worse home schedule. No room for error with how bad this schedule is.
  11. Absolutely horrible home schedule. It's going to be extremely difficult to get fans to want to come out and watch any of these games. Expect a terrible home atmosphere. Please talk quietly with the people you sit by otherwise they will hear you on the other side of the arena.
  12. I know for volleyball, I had mobile tickets and wanted to give them to my parents to go to a game but they don't have smart phones. I called ticket office and they printed out tickets and had them at the will call window for them but it was like a $2 charge to do that.
  13. It's very easy. All you need is his email or cell number. He then just needs to accept the transfer and you are all set. Mobile tickets are the best. Last year, it even deleted the old tickets and added the current ticket to your wallet. Pretty slick.
  14. As long as he didn't commit to CU, didn't care where he ended up.
  15. My stance is college players shouldn't be getting paid as they are already getting paid with free education, meals, clothes, etc. However, now that they can get paid, it's hard to blame them leaving to make more money. I have said that now college kids are getting paid, it has ruined college sports like we know it. There is no difference between college and pro now. It has completed changed the landscape in college sports for how you recruit now. You don't sell them on your school but rather what kind of NIL deal you can put together for them. Things change and even if I prefer the days before NIL, just have to adapt to the way it is now cause it ain't going to go back. I would agree with you that fans had higher expectations for Trev and his tenure here at Nebraska. I was one of them but I'm just not someone who needs to take cheap shots at him for leaving if he felt like that was a better opportunity for him. It obviously had to be a hard decision to leave the school he played his college days at so there had to be strong reasons for him to walk. I may not have liked it either but I try to be objective and understand his side as well.
  16. He got a job offer and accepted it. Exactly what are you expecting that he is never allowed to leave Nebraska? He went from UNO to UNL to Texas A&M very quickly so he must be doing something right. I was hoping he would stay at UNL longer but if someone offered me more money, I'd do the same thing he did. Hard to hold a grudge against him for taking a job offer with potentially better opportunities (especially with the deep pockets Texas &M has).
  17. Or congrats to A&M for being the National Champion Runner up. Great series to watch and they played some outstanding baseball. Maybe it's time for NU fans to quit being so bitter and not make everything so personal. Trev made a business decision to take a different job. It happens. Congrats to Trev and Texas A&M for a great championship series and congrats to the Vols for a tremendous season and your National Championship. Well deserved...
  18. Worst news ever but leave it to the NCAA to take something perfect the way it is and mess it all up just for the sake of money.
  19. The one thing I would change is take away the opportunity to call a time out when you are trying to inbound the ball. I hate it when you can call a timeout before the 5 second count. To me, you should be able to inbound the ball or it's a turnover. How about rewarding the defense and not just allowing the playing to inbound to turn to the ref and call a timeout. That would definitely change many endings to games.
  20. That's my point. It's OK to play a couple of cupcakes but we have way to many on the schedule.
  21. Not sure we will have a good NET before big 10 play unless we beat Creighton. Not alot of other challenging games on the schedule other than St. Mary's.
  22. We need to add a few more challenging games to the schedule.
  23. Agreed. Sam got minutes out of necessity but he earned the right to keep those minutes. However, as we upgrade in talent, Sam has to bring something to the table to get minutes. He was not an effective scorer and not athletic enough to guard some of the other teams PG's. Sam has a great story but think his minutes will be limited this season.
  24. You might need to explain this to me a little more. I would think the opposite. With the amount of money these kids are making, they are staying in college longer and thus having less spots for kids from small schools to move up because there are less spots available on a P5 school. I'm just not understanding how it would be more easy now for a kid to work his way into a P5 school if kids aren't leaving school at the rate they used to because they are making millions to stick around at the P5 schools. So how it is easier than ever for a kid to work his way into a P5 school?
