  1. vell, I mean, Ruffles, dude. That just brings out anyone's competitor spirit.
  2. no idea the cancer in this program, but this has to be addressed. it's one thing to try to succeed and just face plant under pressure a la football. but this is just some dudes punching a clock and a staff that appears to be too afraid to mold them properly. I like talent upgrades as much as anyone. but not at this cost. not at all at this cost.
  3. feel for the fans there. give me the 3 stars that give a shit. i'm done.
  4. looks like pick up ball still. maybe i'm just getting too old, but this offense looks like 5 dudes still.
  5. gritty win from the women. road wins always gold.
  6. guess I'd be shovving my age and other things if I chose MC5?
  7. the NBA drafts anything that has an ideal body. And he's got that. He's going. They'll finish his training there. That said, he *could* justify a second year perhaps, but his stock might have to get to 2d round for him to consider that. I don't see that happening.
  8. KSU's in play, and I think us 1's are okay still. If NU loses that, it deserves to languish in that sublime 150_ rpi territory for theyear.
  9. 'rines may be struggling, but Huskers the recipe to get healthy for an ailing team. Mich-76 NU-69 6 3's 4 victories
  10. these coaches have a lot invested in them. hoiberg's got another year after this one to demonstrate some level of competency. so far it looks like the pedestrains tory of coaches that can recruit but not coach. normlly NU has the opposite. Personally, I'd like to see Sadler take over game days and see vvhat happens then.
  11. they had passed the ball early and looked like a fully engaged team. they ran into a bit of lethrgy having a decent lead and never regained that early mojo. i think what happens is that each person triesto put mthe tea on their own back but it they're not goodn enoughto do that. then you get random hero ball as individualstry to salvage the team. it's the right motive, butthe wrong solution. and that's what coachesm are paid to do: figure out how your team needs to play to get thru rough patches. and this staff hasn['t' done that yet.
  12. 3 more to go. this is going to be painful. i really, really need to stop having seasons like this every year. at least miles broke it up from time to time.
  13. and this IU team isn't all that hot. huskers going to be in a bit of trouble in this conference again.
  14. there's not going to be enough season to get these dudes to play like they can and this staff appears befuddled by the chemistry issue. makes me sad, because the base talent's enough to compete. not sure the coaching's there, tho.
  15. this season's going to be hard on the digestive tract.
  16. bummer game. had no business going this direction. proving difficult to mold these dudes into a functional team
  17. miss that team that started this game. this other team needed to stay in the rec area in Lincoln.
  18. has NU passed the ball before the quick shot more than once inthe last 10 minutes? the ball is just suffocating on the O end.
  19. seem to be too easy to knock off our plan. have a good approach, it's going good, and then a couple of empty possessions and back to rec ball.
  20. get a lead and then take a nap. doing it all over again.
  21. hey, early lead is good. let's just keep it up and stuff.
  22. if Lat doesn't see the court at all we probbl win that game. I didn't see every minute, including missing the infamous "lemm estart some sh*t on the opponents floor" scrum he started, but what I did see he was a large vat of suck. hoiberg's obviously looking for a different player to eventually emerge, but I'm wondering how much patience is too much? especially when it's costing you games you can and need to win? in any event, I'm normally not comfy coming down on individual players too much, but he's been driving me nuts so far this year and injury isn't explaining a lot of the crap i think i'm seeing.
  23. Fighting Gene Hackmans--83 Huskers--72
