Someone lost a Q1 win from last night because I counted twice and came up with 20 both times last night haha!
-
Appears to have gone a little bit higher tonight…
-
KSU had moved up to 75 in the NET BEFORE their win over Baylor this evening. They should get a nice bump from that too. So as of now we are 3-3 in Q1. That is a top 15 in the nation Q1 record. There are only 20 teams in the nation with 3+ Q1 wins.

That KSU win is aging like fine wine.

2021 SG Hunter Sallis ->Gonzaga->Wake Forest
hskr4life replied to AuroranHusker's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
Sallis was involved in an on court scuffle at the end of the NC ST game tonight. He was ultimately issued a double tech and ejected from the game. Overall, the game had 8 total techs. Wake lost to NC ST 83-76. -
Nebraska (13-4) vs. Rutgers (9-7) Game Thread
hskr4life replied to Bugeaters1's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Rutgers Message Board Rutgers board is always a good read. They have multiple posters who have mentioned that they don't like our matchup at all. -
Some teams have wins that age well... our MSU and KSU wins so far have. One that hasn't? Duquesne. They fell to 0-4 in the A-10 tonight and are all alone in last place. They're sub 100 in KenPom and will probably drop more after tonight and their NET is about to drop into the 100's as well.

uneblinst's postgame chatter: vol 16; ed 16 - Purdue
hskr4life replied to Bugeaters1's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Watching Purdue tonight almost do what they want with Indiana on their home floor in a huge rivalry... we KNOW this team can hang with anyone in the country. Play like we did against Purdue and we won't have to worry about NET this and KenPom that. -

This was huge Friday. Lose by 4-7 points, we drop, but not back into the 50’s. NET favors MOV so we need to blow teams out and avoid getting blown out. -
Nebraska (13-4) vs. Rutgers (9-7) Game Thread

History tells us then, we should probably face guard their guy who is 13% from deep on the year OR their guy who has “only” made 5 threes this year. -
“The rule change also states that a secondary defender would have to be outside the restricted area arc to legally draw a charge. “ https://www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/news/ncaa-approves-change-to-determining-block-or-charge-calls-and-other-rule-modifications-for-upcoming-season/amp/ Are men and women different?

Maryland beats Illinois at Illinois…. Yeesh. Wisco feeling good about that conference title right about now.
-
Teams will RISE and Fall throughout the year. We actually moved UP in the NET after game results yesterday. We're still 2-3 in Q1 and 1-1 in Q2. We just need to win and we'll be fine. We have our signature win. We will most likely end up with 2-3 Q1 wins. Just play our game and don't feel pressured. We've got more chances than most of those teams to make a statement.
-
That was umm.. not a charge. Both because there was no legal guarding position established and she was in the circle.

HHCC Game #17 - at Iowa (Jan. 12, 8:30 PM CST)
hskr4life replied to HuskerFever's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Massively underestimated how drunk we were and how hungover we’d be. -
If there’s a 4 game stretch out there that can kind of give us some breathing room and maybe allow us to play “with house money” for a change… it’s this next four game stretch. This is the only one that I see where we can realistically go 4-0. Two home games and our roadies are Maryland and Rutgers. 2-2 should be the bare minimum here. 3-1 probably expected for a true tournament team. 4-0 is not out of a the question for a team that’s a tournament lock.

A loss would have been acceptable. They aren’t a bad team. How we lost and how bad it got is unacceptable. Our metrics moved further back than they moved up after our Purdue win. That’s not good. -

They made threes and we didn’t. That was ultimately what decided the game. -
37 Hasla 48 KenPom 49 TRank Literally gave everything we received after our Purdue win back. We’re actually lower than where we were Sunday before the Purdue game. Sunday after Wisco we were 51…

We just gave back everything we took with that Purdue win when it comes to metrics. Remember it’s not just the loss… it’s HOW we lost. -

I mean… that’s basically all teams… but yeahhh. You’d think that wouldn’t be the case for a team that prides itself on D… but we fricking left our D in Lincoln. -
Technically, the venues are still drivable...
