Not watching, but reading the tweets about errors and guys running into each other is discouraging. Very discouraging. This feels a lot like the basketball season in a nutshell. Big early wins with a few losses to solid teams. Then we follow that up by struggling hard in conference against the top level teams and now have moved on to struggling against NW.

Thanks! I was trying to find words for all of this. I don't mind asking a kid to start to look elsewhere. What I do mind is how this has went down (from our current viewpoint). I hope that we don't lose sight that these kids are people and not product.

My yikes isn’t letting them go. If that’s how Fred wants to do it, I’m all for it. My yikes is the fact that the players may or may not have known. My yikes is because it was reported that a player was leaving who, according to him, isn’t leaving. So yes, it’s a yikes on the way it has went down so far.

I think the most disappointing thing has been the eggs laid against top tier conference teams. Losing a series against them here and there is one thing. Losing all three series and getting swept in one against our top 3 opponents so far is disappointing. Especially after winning series against Baylor and beating Tech early. Let's hope that we turn it on for the end of the year. Baseball is pretty mental, so a solid hitting day could do wonders for us.
