I’m just not seeing how this ends well. If this was our “year 1” I’m really excited. It’s taken 4 years to find a team that plays hard and competes. KSU has a first year head coach. FIRST YEAR!!! I WISH we could have a year like they’re having any year. All the mo from the past three games is gone. At least for me. We reverted back to old habits early in the game. Our shooters are inconsistent at best. It’s frustrating. This may be an emotional post, and we may be fine. But I’m pissed dang it. I want this so bad and each year seems to be the same… we’re 6-6 in the toughest conference in the nation… or one of the toughest. We’ve had 7, 7, and 10 win years the past three years. Some teams will have more wins this year than we’ve had the past three. And here we sit at 6-6 with one cupcake and 18 games against some of the best. I hope I can eat crow on this post. I WANT to. I’m ready for crow. But man… I just don’t see how this season ends up any different. Maybe we get to 12 wins. That’d put us at 36…. In four years.

Sorry y’all— I’m back to not seeing this season play out very well. As the losses continue to pile up, I fear we’re going to see bad habits pop back up. Tonight was multiple steps back and unfortunately a close loss at home still counts as a loss.

Not just that… Queens is decent. Not great, but currently a Q3 opponent.

Nebraska has a chance here to get on the national scene if they take this seriously. Now no— we won’t ever be a Santa Anita or Keeneland or anything like that. However, there really isn’t any Midwest tracks that run in that late spring and summer time period. Oaklawn owns most of the late winter and spring. Remington and the Texas tracks own the fall and early winter. However, I could see a scenario where Lincoln could become the “go-to” for the 2nd tier horses out of good barns in the summer months. A June-August type schedule. There is possibility there, but how bad do we want it?

The lack of referees is getting worse. The bad thing is, it’s going to be a slow burnout of current referees due to the lack of referees out there.

So shocking. Still a huge loss for the soccer community!

I picked up a reffing job, so I won’t make it. Unfortunate because I love with the Big Red plays my Alma Mater.

Odds are those will both be Q1 wins too with them being a road game and neutral site game.
