Nice catch.

So with the guys on board now, what's the projected starting lineup? I'm confident Tai will start among the "big 3", but I guess I see we may or may not have a new 5...meaning, I think Rivers or another guy could still start. Rivers, Parker, Leslee, and Moses would be our top candidates for the 5th spot, you would think, then Fuller, Tarin, and Hammond after that. That's a nice, healthy rotation. That's 8 guys I'm okay with 20+ minutes, with 9 and 10 not being bad options either. Will Pettaway and Shields get over 35 minutes? The only way I see them getting multiple rests is if Parker comes in and Webster slides to the 2 (you could argue they are most valuable on the team, plus we have more depth at the other spots). Here's what I think we'll have-pretty fun to think about. 1-Webster, Parker 2-Pettaway, Fuller 3-Shields, 4-Rivers, Leslee 5-Pitchford, Moses

I will politely call this your father's NU basketball thinking. The time is ripe for my attitude adjustment spiel. Coaches look for schools with better conference...Miles, check! Coaches look for schools with better facilities...Miles, check! Coaches look for schools with great fan bases...Miles, check! Coaches look for schools close to their family...Miles, check! Coaches look for schools with access to best recruits...OK, here we are challenged...but not nearly comparable to the football model that needs 25 to 30 recruits a year. Miles only needs 3 to 4 a year. Miles can do this. Lincoln is transforming itself into a relatively hip town! as the Haymarket evolves. Weather won't stop good athletes. Bo Ryan gets them to Madison. Tom Izzo to Lansing. Finally, coaches look for schools with the ability and willingness to spend $$$...Miles, check! Don't worry, SE gets it. I don't see why this is brought up so much. Colorado, Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri and Iowa all have produced NBA talent (I believe all in the last 5 years, if not, I would think not much more than that). If all of them can do it, NU can. At some point the state will produce talent again.

Gottlieb said on Sunday he didn't think NU deserved to get in. What a punk... NDSU wins. St Louis wins. Now it's Nebraska's turn.
-
Made it to Wichita braums. First stop so not terrible. Wish I could say I've seen tons of husker fans but has been sparce so far.
-
Come on, it was a little bit funny.
-
Leaving Omaha tomorrow morning early. Look for a silver Mazda3 with Husker plates...I am really pumped about this game and this opportunity. An even bigger blessing would be punching a ticket to the sweet 16...GBR
-
Tickets purchased! Wife awesome. When we win our first NCAA tournament game, I will be there!
-
Can we really expect a sellout? What would be some of the cheaper options to buy a ticket?
-
Ray is warming up slowly. Maybe Hawkins gets in there for a bit. Walt might like this matchup... What kind of travel arrangements you got so far?
-
My wife (totally out of the blue, unsolicited) started talking about finances this weekend...even wrote a "best case (we stay through Sunday) or "worst case" (we come home early)...She only went with me to maybe one game this year, and she's already looking into going. May this come to fruition. I found out the hard way though, when I looked up Motel 6, she said "that's what bachelor's do"...I said I've had positive experiences with Motel 6 but lost that one. I would LOVE to be there for the first win. Pumped.

Is there any way for student ticket holders to get tickets through the university? A foreign question to most of us.
-
I know there will be a lot of threads this week, so I'll keep it specific. Who's going? I'm thinking about driving down there - this is amazing!
-
I guess I don't get why you'd bash Webster at this point.
-
Honestly I'm more concerned about center. Benny is back next year and Webster is a freshman. Tai will improve greatly I think. Most of the board was done with Benny two years ago now look where he is. Give NU an option so Walt and Leslee don't have to sub in and out for each other.
-
Never been married, huh? Actually cip my Inlaws are staying with us this weekend. So that can now go along with the original intent of the thread. Haha
-
For those saying definitively "we are in", so you truly believe that or are you just being optimistic? It's not in our hands or an experts hands. It's in a crew of a dozen or so guys. Many brackets have us out. I think we are in too. But I'm nervous about it.

Of my life.

One game. Once again this team is the underdog. Ohio State has been playing well the past four games but not overwhelming anybody. How will NU answer the call? This is it. A conference tournament where we're doing more than trying to win one game. Game time is almost here. The Ohio State game should be a lot of fun!

Husker Hoops Watch Party - Rococo - B1G tourney edition
unl replied to Nebrasketball's topic in The Haymarket Hardwood
Dimes, can we split this into Omaha, Lincoln, and other or something? -
That, to me, says...let's get Friday.
-
If NU gets a tourney win, I don't care if we play a 1 seed next. The monkey is off...and it would be a lot of fun to watch. So, how many brackets have NU in? How many others are there besides Brennons?

I asked the same question. It's a network issue. I wonder who we would have to ask to request. I am certain the majority who listen to any part of the broadcast would continue to listen to an hour post-game. Interviews with the players, alums, assistant coaches, other hoops fans, opponents, it could be anything. I wonder who would host it. John Bishop?
