  1. I'm actually surprised that the "Huskers" on the sideline isn't "#Huskers". Especially with as active as Tim Miles is on twitter.
  2. You wanted doodoo brown all over the court? Yeah, I like it. Notre Dame and Michigan St (among others) have designs similar to this and I like those floors. If you don't like the different tones of brown, then you should be thankful that the people that designed Oregon's floor didn't get the job to design Nebraska's floor. That could've been bad with corn stalks instead of evergreen trees on the court... haha
  3. Yeah, and another recruit that is visiting Nebraska this weekend shoots over 40% from 3-PT.
  4. Dude I love the new court design. It's exactly what I was hoping it would be!

  6. Gallegos: Volume shooter. Inconsistent shooter. Can't create his own shot. That, to me, seems more like a bench player. He set the record for minutes played, not the record for points scored. Maybe he set the record for number of shots taken too. He was about as wildly inconsistent as it gets. Some games he couldn't miss a shot, while some games he couldn't make a shot. And in the games that he couldn't buy a bucket, he continued to shoot at a high rate, which took shots away from other guys on the team who take higher percentage shots alot closer to the basket and have a much better chance of getting fouled and getting sent to the FT line. Nebraska struggled to get to the FT line alot this last season and camping out behind the 3-PT line and chucking 3's doesn't help that. He started because of Nebraska's extreme lack of depth and because Petteway was ineligible to play this season. Petteway won't be ineligible next season. Gallegos wasn't even the leading scorer on the team this season and it's not like the team was stacked with scorers. Although he was the "3-PT shots attempted" leader. Gallegos shot 271 3's, which was 130 more 3's than the next highest 3-PT shots attempted (Talley with 149 3's). Talley averaged more points, while taking fewer shots. Gallegos: Entire Season: FG% .361 3 PT% .306 FT% .636 Conference: FG% .332 3 PT% .295 FT% .632 Dylan Talley: Entire Season: FG% .372 3 PT% .342 FT% .741 Conference: FG% .387 3 PT% .326 FT% .800 Gallegos did get player of the game in 11 games. Like I said, he was wildly inconsistent. Some games he couldn't miss a shot, while other games he couldn't make a shot. In alot of the games that he didn't get player of the game, he was a non factor in the scoring department. Not trying to be a jerk with all of the bolded parts, but you apparently didn't see them the first time I posted them.

  8. Starters: G- Biggs / Webster G- Petteway F- Shields F- Tummala* F- Pitchford Off Bench: G- Biggs / Webster G- Gallegos F- Fuller F- Rivers F- Smith I would be surprised if Gallegos started next season. Volume shooter. I would be surprised to see Parker or Vucetic get any sort of playing time next season. Unless Vucetic puts on 50 lbs over the summer...
  9. The teams at the top of my list would be: Mizzou, Oregon, Georgetown, UCLA, or Arizona I think that Nebraska would have a legit chance to win any of these games next season. I think Nebraska might be a few steps away from beating teams like Louisville, Duke, North Carolina, or Kentucky, etc, and I think that you want to have a legit chance to win the opening game. Also, one thing to consider is that Mizzou, Oregon, Georgetown, UCLA, and Arizona will all probably finish at the top of their conference, and they all have a legit chance to actually win their conference, so that is HUGE for Nebraska's RPI at the end of the season. Someone mentioned FGCU (I think they might have been joking) and I don't like them for the season home opener, but I think it would be AWESOME for Nebraska to play FGCU sometime in the non conference. They are a HOT team right now, so there will be some buzz around that team and the Nebraska bball team would be jacked to play them. Plus, playing FGCU would make for a game that is about as exciting as it gets.
  10. It would be such a statement if Nebraska basketball sold out the arena with season tickets! I know that there are people that want to downplay the excitement surrounding Nebraska basketball right now. They say that this is going to be just like every other time Nebraska basketball looked like it was ready to take that next step as a program, but this is so much different than any other time (in my lifetime anyway). I don't think there has ever been another time when all involved with Nebraska basketball have made a 100% commitment to a 100% investment into the program. In the past, the athletic department seemed to take the stance of "We will commit to the football program 100%, if the basketball program wins some games--great, if not--oh well. As long as football is at the top...". It's not like that this time and you can feel it. --The University of Nebraska --The Nebraska Athletic Department --The Fans --The City of Lincoln All of these are making the investment in the Nebraska basketball program both financial resources and in the area of facilities and even developing the areas surrounding the new arena.

  12. He played about 10 minutes a game for the Boilers. He averaged 3.3 points and 2.5 rebounds per game. He goes about 6-9, 270. Can graduate transfers relocate within the same conference?

  14. Iowa Frickin' State. Why them? Pisses me off. There's an athletic program that should shrivel on the vine. Yet, there they are ...They are the king of transfers.Plus they are competitive, playing a fun style, and have a good young coach. I think we should be encouraged by their success. If they can do it, so can we. https://twitter.com/RobinWashut/status/322138387760967680">April
  15. Ehh... just tell him he can practically live in the Training Complex except for going to class and playing in front of 16,000 Husker fans just chomping at the bits for a winner in basketball. No doubt. At the rate the season ticket sales are going, he might be playing in front of 16,000 season ticket holders...
  16. Fingers crossed on Tummala! Hope that he waits until Saturday and Sunday to visit though, because it is supposed to be 70 on Saturday and 65 on Sunday.

  19. I agree with this. I think that best case is if you use the last scholarship on a grad transfer, then the spot opens up for the 2014 class. Also, even if you sign another player that is not a grad transfer, there will be a player or two that do not get what they consider to be enough playing time, so they will transfer, which will also open up an additional spot or two for the 2014 class.

  21. Has anyone heard anything new about Davis? I know it's dead period, but I didn't know if a recruiting analyst had said or written anything since Washut's initial mentioning of Nebraska looking at him. I haven't heard anything lately.
  22. Yeah, and they have a new practice facility: Spitting image of Hendricks Training Complex. Same architect?
  23. Wasn't biggs a juco all american? His offers didn't really blow up. Us and Okie st. Biggs was named a juco All American after his freshman year? I did not know that. Hmmm. You sure about that? I don't think Biggs was named All American until after his soph season
