  1. +1. I'm probably not going to get any homework done tonight, because I will be stalking this site, twitter, etc... I'm way too jacked to think about anything else In terms of our success this coming year, Davis would be an even bigger get than Agau. 17 and 10 is rare at any D1 school. Agree. Agau could have maybe had a bigger impact over the course of 4 years with 4 years of development, but in terms of immediate impact, I totally agree that Davis is the bigger get.
  2. If Miles can pull off finishing this class with Tummala and Davis, then he needs an immediate raise and Nebraska needs to get ready to name the floor at Pinnacle Bank Arena "Tim Miles Court" or something like that, because considering what he was able to do with the roster he had to work with this season, he could be dangerous with a new one like this.

  4. I agree that Nebraska could really use him, but I think they could use both. We don't have room for both though. Speculation that either Parker or Vucetic is leaving WHAT? That is the first time I have heard that on this message board. Today

  6. I've seen a picture of them standing next to eachother, but McDermott was standing on his toes, so it is hard to tell

  8. Agree 100%. You could have a lineup that looked something like Starters 1-Biggs (6'0") 2-Petteway (6'6") 3-Shields (6'6") 4-Davis (6'8") 5-Pitchford (6'10") 1st off of Bench 1-Webster (6'3") 2-Gallegos (6'2") 3-Fuller (6'7") 4-Tummala (6'7") 5-Smith (6'8") That would be a legit 10-man rotation. It would be neat to see them play fast and push the ball up the floor alot. Get out in transition and run. Take advantage of all of the 6'5"-6'8" bodies on the floor. And to take advantage of the legit 10-man rotation, it would be cool to see them do a platoon style system of substitution (5 in, 5 out) a few times each quarter almost like hockey.
  9. https://twitter.com/RobinWashut/status/319231568872878081">April This is an excerpt from the article linked in Robin Washut's tweet: In addition to Tarrant leaving the program, leading scorer Josh Davis has received his release from the school, Jeff Goodman of CBSSports.com is reporting. Davis was the team’s leading scorer and rebounder last season, averaging a double-double of 17.6 points and 10.7 rebounds per game.
  10. Well that's not really fair. They let guys wear mouth guards
  11. +1. Nebraska can use a 6'8", 215 lb, Forward
  12. Haha. Yeah, I wasn't trying to say that McDermott is only 6'5". I was just saying that Gibbs is 6'5" and Echinique is 6'9", so there is no way that McDermott is 6'8", because the height difference between McDermott and Gibbs is much less than the height difference between Mcdermott and Echinique. From looking at the pictures I think its safe to say that McDermott is probably in the 6'6"-6-7" range. And that is the same range that Sai Tummala is in. Which was what my initial point was. I really don't care what McDermott's height is or if Creighton is fudging on his height in their roster. I was just pointing out that Tummala and McDermott have a similar skill set and they are a similar size and that since McDermott was able to play the 4 spot (and be so successful in doing so that he was voted 2 time AP All-American) it is entirely possible for Tummala to do well in the 4 spot as well (even though he is not the prototypical bruiser of a "power" forward). Sorry if my reference to McDermott's size in comparison to Tummala's made anyone lose any sleep.
  13. And the guy standing on the other side of McDermott (#3) is Gibbs (#10), who is listed as 6'5". McDermott looks about the same height as Gibbs. Much closer to Gibbs than Echenique (#00).
  14. And if they can match Ubel's heart we'll have something. This

  16. I touched on this in another thread, but I thought this might be a better place to post this. With the coaching change at Minnesota, and Nebraska's desperate need for big men in the paint, what are the chances that a guy like Elliott Eliason could get released from scholarship at Minnesota, if Miles wanted to add him to Nebraska's roster? Does a player have to sit out a season if he transfers when there is a coaching change at his current school? Elliott Eliason, RS Soph, 6'11", 260 lbs, from Chadron, NE Also, would there be a better chance of him being allowed to transfer and stay within the B1G conference, if he were going to a place closer to home, within his home state of Nebraska?
  17. It will be nice to see what both Tai Webster and Leslee Smith can do when they are forced to play up to their potential and at a high level of effort, because they will be surrounded by players that are actually on their same level
  18. Here's an excerpt from the Brian Rosenthal article in the Lincoln Journal Star: While he was impressed with Nebraska’s facilities, Smith said he chose Nebraska because of Miles, and because he believes he’ll fit in perfectly with Miles' motion offense. Something else Miles said caught Smith’s ear. “He said if I don’t start, he’ll be upset, so there’s a really good opportunity for me to play right away and contribute,” Smith said. “That really stuck out to me. That’s something any player wants to hear from a coach, coming into their next school.” Here's the rest of the story: http://journalstar.com/sports/huskers/mens-basketball/junior-college-forward-chooses-nu/article_81a4feea-e2e4-53dd-b04e-f5ce5a1d5260.html
  19. Bonjour. Speaking of which, look at the length of that dude's fingers! Haha
  20. Do we have any kind of link to him? He was born in the USA and so were 3 of our coaches. Nebraska needs some McDonalds All-Americans and he just happens to be one
  21. It will never happen, but Purvis is the caliber of player that is good enough that if he came to Nebraska, he could put the team on his back and get them to the NCAA tournament right away and probably even win a game for them when they get there. He would be a program changer.
  22. Here is some Rodney Purvis highlights (multiple seasons of highlights): http://ncstate.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1356206 His junior and senior highlights on the second half of the video are pretty sick.
  23. Dude this guy is a freak. It would be sick if Nebraska could get his transfer. Coming out of high school, Rivals had him listed as a 5-Star, #4 SG in the country, #12 overall prospect in the 2012 class. He is listed at 6'4", 195 lbs. http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncstate/basketball/recruiting/player-Rodney-Purvis-105796
  24. All of these places have him listed as 6'7" http://rivals.yahoo.com/nebraska/basketball/recruiting/player-Sai-Tummala-150220 http://247sports.com/Player/Sai-Tummala-30664 http://nebraska.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1486526
