Super surprised at that, Van Lith is so competitive is is hard not to see her go to another final-four-contender type team.

2021 SG Hunter Sallis ->Gonzaga->Wake Forest
Red Don replied to AuroranHusker's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
Doesn't mention where the Sallis visit is to take place (in-home?) but I don't know how well this works with Brice Williams coming in for an OV this week-end. (Guess it must be Williams is here now (Fri, 4/7) through maybe Saturday.) -
Thanks Steve; the best synopsis I believe I've read.

Not sure about the rule-book Whoop, or whether it makes a difference, but it seems that Mulkey parlayed the reaction of the LSU player (she did get an elbow) into a review to see if it might have been a Flagrant Foul (refs decided not a Flagrant). IIRC, Mulkey had called a TO (lobby refs for a review). No Flagrant so LSU was charged with the TO (would have been a 'free' TO if they had determined it was Flagrant).

We'll probably never get a definitive answer, But when ESPN interviewed the Kansas Coach just after the conclusion of the Washington game the ESPN announcer said that the next (i.e. final game) would also be @ the "Phog." The Kansas coach appeared not to know this (i.e. he was surprised; It was news to him), but he immediately credited KU Admin, for their support.

LSU, New National Champions - 102-85

What a WILD Game! Fouls Galore, Clark & Czinano pick up their 4th Personal fouls (On the SAME Play (Technical on Clark)) 75-64 LSU at the end of Q3!
-
59-42 LSU @ the Half!
-
Looks like it's going be a rock-fight, lots of physicality (and fouls), 27-22 LSU at the end of 1 Qtr of Play.

Jaz' returning opens up a lot of possibilities for us, Recruiting-wise; Drawing attention to the program we might not have otherwise had (i.e. a returning, selfless, star player) and prospects for next year. Her emphasis on coaching, development, teammates, and community can't help but resonate with prospective recruits or transfers (indeed being a transfer herself). We may be in for some exciting times.

2022 F Isaac Traudt - Virginia->Creighton
Red Don replied to Navin R. Johnson's topic in Husker Hoops Recruiting
Regardless, I think we'll get to that next level with, or Without, Isaac Traudt. -
Watched Kansas Blow-by Washington 61-36 (Attendance: 7,229), in the WNIT Semi-finals, on their way to the Championship game vs Columbia. (Kansas will have played all Five games at Home). After beating us 64-55 (Phog Attendance: 3,730), Kansas put away Arkansas 78-64 (Attendance: 4,806) on the way. I can't help but think that could have been Nebraska. While we never led in the game, they weren't able to put us away either. We were within striking distance the whole game; and that without the services of Sam Haiby, injured in the Northern Iowa game (PBA Attendance: 6,478), or for that matter, Alison Weidner, who incurred a season-ending injury in our prior game vs Kansas. Might the outcome have been different had we played @ PBA. EDIT: Kansas WBB wins the NIT! A lot closer game than I'd thought (still can't help but think it couldda been us )

Indeed, as in the Matt A. Days, we don't have enough openings to take more than maybe 1% of the offers. I'd hate to be 'full-up' when a good candidate with mutual interest showed up. Who knew how formidable Bando & Gary proved to be.

I think Silver hit the nail on the head! -
Baristas at a Hunting Lodge!. What more could you want?

Early Noon whistle? Man who blows the town whistle every day sets his clock every morning at the local clocksmiths shop each morning on his way to work. One day he happens to ask the shopkeeper if his timepiece is accurate. "Yessir," responds the clocksmith; "I set it every day by the Noon Whistle."

Denigrate as much as you will. That Iowa game vs Louisville was a thing of beauty. I don't see how disparaging Iowa makes us any better. The way to beat Iowa is to get better than they are. It has happened.

An Impressive win over Louisville last night. Iowa went a long way towards making themselves 'Likeable.' Clark was (for her) on her best behavior; I even began to become sympathetic toward Bluder. Rooting for Iowa to win it All.

Looking at SDSU's stifling defense I couldn't help but think of Benny Parker!
