Your Halftime Stats: A lot closer game than expected; An Eleven Point Game at the Half: (This is more of a traditional trap game than Duquesne) (Huskers - 47 : Jones - 19) -
Gutty Performance by the Husker Ladies!!! Despite never holding the lead to lose by only Seven points. Down by 21 points early in the 3rd Qtr, the Husker Ladies fight back to cut TCU's lead to 5 points during the quarter. Natalie Potts gets upbraided by TCU's Senior Prima Donna, Sedona Prince for something she didn't like. Prince gets warned by the officials, but no action taken. Somehow it seems like players like Sedona Prince (like Angel Reese, etc.) and teams like TCU (like LSU, etc.) Deserve each other. Here's your final Stats: GO BIG RED

Huskers have a good third Quarter, Cuts TCU's lead (once as high as 21 Points) to as low as an 8 point lead. Getting a little chippy: TCU's Sr. Prima Donna, Sedona Prince insults Natalie Potts. Prince gets admonished by the refs, but no penalty. TCU's lead cut from 21 Pts to 8 points at the end of the Q3; TCU 64-56 Stats at the end of three quarters of play:

TCU leads 23-16 at the end of the first quarter. Largest lead of 10 by TCU. Lay-up by Moriarity to end the Qtr.

Team Defense will be Paramount, and Swift Close-outs on the Perimeter if we are to Beat the Hot-Shooting Lady Horned Frogs (46.4% FG; 40.0% from Three). GBR!!! Husker Ladies finally pull away at the end to defeat Lamar by 14 Points; 75-61!!!! Husker Ladies are 4-1; will meet TCU in St. Petersburg, Sat 11/24/23 at Noon CST. Final Stats:
-
Lamar w/ a 7-0 run, i.e. 63-57. Huskers haven't scored in about 3 mins (2:57), cutting into Husker 63-50 lead (high of 13 pts) at just under 5 min to go. Jazz just made a trey, 4:52 to go. (followed by a pull-up jumper made by Darian White @ 4:11).

To empahasize @Bugeaters1, from the audio, seems like the officiating is very onesided. Jeff says officials are really protecting Dean?? for some reason. Personal Fouls seem one sided. 18 Huskers for 14 Lamar. Moriarity, Potts & Alexis playing w/4 personals vs Dean w/4 for Lamar.
-
56-48 Huskers at the end of Q3. A close game; Lamar keeps coming back and preventing the Huskers from pulling away. 3Q Stats: (close @ 38 ticks into the 4th)

Morgensen fouled out!
-
Creighton has Morgenson, & Brake playing with 3 fouls each; Ronsiek & Jensen with two, and Maly, Hareshaw & Lockett with one.
-
And what's the problem with BTN??? Keeps freezing up (video keeps getting out of sync with Matt & Jeff)
-
I have to say We Have A Women's Basketball TEAM! I haven't seen team play like this for a long time. despite ALL the breaks going to Creighton in the first half, you know, things like making 8 of their first 13 treys, Bad calls by the officials, missing traveling, non-existent personal fouls, etc. Lady Huskers never held the Lead. BUT, they have fought and played great teamwork to stay within Seven, despite all the breaks going to Creighton. Creighton's largest lead was about Nine, with the Lady Huskers solid play shrinking that lead every time Creighton would try to expand it. I'm proud of this Husker WBB Team!

Glad to see Kendall Coley with the number of minutes she had and a nice stat line. Seems like everyone stepped up, but of course the competition was not Big Ten. Hope everyone gets (and stays) healthly; we're going to need 'em all.
