Henderson will be good from the standpoint of keeping their recruits I believe. Was selfishly hoping that grill reopened recruiting as I would think he would be s guy that Hoiberg might like if he comes here. Henderson I believe was a big part of landing Grill and also scheierman from Aurora.

If their coach leaves and they are allowed to reopen their recruitment(and want to) AND we are struggling to fill up roster if we have a lot of turnover, then I would not mind the new staff taking a closer look at him, but even more so Grill. That kid is going to be a good one.

Other than a small misstep he made getting recorded while at dinner with some cold verbage regarding Petteway, I agree with everything Norm said. I will chalk that up as "locker room talk" mostly, since it was supposed to be private dinner with his assistants, not something that should have been recorded. I think he can be very successful one peg down, as he is more comfortable coaching without as many quality big men to compete with IMO.

I would have thought it would be handled in time for him to be welcomed and make it to his sons game. Although, perhaps he didn't want that spotlight on him. Who knows. I just wish we could advance to the point where we know what is going on.

50 schools sounds about right as for expectations of having a top 32ish program. There is room for about 50 schools to win a game every three years.

Just because we have never done something, doesn't mean our goals should not be high. We should be a top 32 or so program. 32 teams win a game every year(plus play ins). We should be winning a tourney game every three years at worst, with the occasional deeper run.

Do not try to explain that only 5 guys playing makes it easier to recover. When I tried that, I got lynched for some reason.

I think this speaks in large part to how miles has ran the program. Clean, likeable, and now showing another side with some toughness. This wasn’t a complete no brainer by any means, and there remain people on both sides of the fence and many of us sort of straddling that fence. This is why this is a big deal. I think many folks feel Miles deserved good treatment on the way out at the very least. This leads to probably making Moos actions a bigger deal than they may actually be.

Also speaking of game shows the documentary about the guy solving the press your luck pattern and killing it is awesome. The movie quiz show very good as well.
