Agree one million percent. If only we had been able to get it figured out slightly earlier. We played well on offense against Michigan. Just needed one more stop. It is an amazing turnaround at that end. And Miles has them playing a style that is enjoyable to play. It is not simply a pack it in type thing. It is frustrating to play against.

Played NU in every home game in league until passing today. None were all that close to losing. Not all home courts are worth the same. Those are things that are intangible and models cannot understand.

Agree with the Shields call. I also cannot believe we got outglassed. It certainly did not feel like it.

At least Creighton found a way to beat the juggernaut Seton Hall at home by one. Score difference doesn't matter in RPI.

I agree. But starting to lose faith just a little bit. Most of his misses are not even close to going in. We desperately need him to find it soon. He brings a dimension that nobody else provides. So huge for spacing. Allows for a lineup of Rey, Pitchford, Petteway, Shields and Rivers. A very long and good defensive club with only one player on the court to do the dirty work. I love what Parker is doing of late, but if we get down by a decent amount we need shooting. Rey needs to step up. Miles needs to figure out the best way to get him out of the slump. If I recall correctly he shot well much of the game at Illinois last year. Maybe that arena is what he needs to shake out of this.

According to some of our friends here in Omaha we were ready to give up on him earlier this year.

To be fair to officials, we are a tough team to officiate right now. We play like junkyard dogs. Very nasty defensive style of play. I love it. But it is not easy to officiate. Not that they did a good job.

not to be nit picky but it could be 11 of 14. Penn St. game was a winner or loser depending on execution.

They don't do anything especially well. Hammonds is a talented but underachieving type. Not a winning type player. Guards are not tremendously quick or athletic. Not a terribly deadly shooting bunch. Not tremendously quick or athletic either. Nothing to hang their hat on. 2nd worst team in the leaugue IMO. However, they are still decent, as is every team in the league. And they are more than capable of beating us.

Not to mention, the goal in a conference tourney is to win the conference tourney. The chances of doing that are helped quite a bit by having a bye. And there is always the chance of the 12 seed winning in this league, setting up a nice situation in the quarterfinal.

Conference standings don't matter. RPI does though. We play OSU twice and Minnesota once. More importantly, with Minnesota being a bubble team slightly ahead of us, it is a no brainer to root for the Buckeyes. This

Wonder how the committee will look at Smart missing games. Obviously he makes a huge difference, but not sure they should bump them because of why he missed action.

How can that entire band of idiots be too stupid to not comprehend that Miles was talking about the amount of fouls and not the score of the game? You would think a national ranked team, would have a message board that doesn't resemble a dumpster fire. It is truly a horrific board. Cannot help but watch the inferiority complex. We need to avoid this turning into a 3 point shootout. They don't have a lot of shot blocking. We need to make sure we attack at least our fair share. Take the threes when they are super clean looks.

We are at another point in the learning process. Winning games that have more downside than upside. The fans have to learn this as well. We need to make a difference and help the team learn how to clear this important hurdle.
