Perhaps...but the really important question is which way are the knees bent.
-
Wasn't she hurt early in the season? I seem to recall when Nebraska played them, she was just coming back to action from an injury. I agree she didn't look to be the same player she was the previous year.
-
IMO, it happens at all levels, women's and men's. Living in North Carolina, I always joke that the Three Stooges have an anxiety attack and go into shock worthy of hospitalization when Duke & North Carolina square off because they're so used to screwing the opponent of each of those teams in any other game. They simply don't know what to do. Obviously, blue bloods almost always are the beneficiaries of officiating bias, but the same can be said for other good teams when they play the dregs of their conference.
-
Sure they can. They'll say the lower end of the conference (specifically Nebraska) was so bad that the poor competition weakened their schedule enough that it didn't fully prepare them for what they would see in the tournament.
-
I initially misread it that way!

Look no further than the head coach. There you will find the source.

Hopefully Williams is finally coming around to the understanding that your best players need to play around 3/4 or more of the minutes at their position. The substitution patterns as the season wound down seemed to indicate she was moving in that direction. I thought she did a pretty good job of strategic substitution to get those players a slightly longer rest (e.g., seemed to take Haiby out near the end of a period to allow her the extra minute or two or rest). Should have the pieces to push a little higher up the conference pecking order next year, but it would be really nice to discover a true point guard from somewhere.

Thank you for that thing of beauty!!!

The best part was the imbeciles repeatedly slapping the floor on defense (meaningless gesture stolen from other teams, of course) and repeatedly getting their rear ends handed to them. All-America Ayo sure soiled his drawers on the big stage. Terrible game.
-
2-minute total brain fart at start of 4th quarter determined the outcome.
-
I can't believe someone had the gall to film my shooting workout.
-
Red Don, $30/month or $12.50/month for year subscription.
-
Sounds like they started playing defense. Make a few shots and get a decent lead. Haiby hasn't even taken a shot (maybe 1) - need to get her involved.
-
Only listening to the game, but blind observation is - maybe try and play a little defense?
-
Definitely need to get stronger. They get pushed around on a regular basis and when the Stooges let that physicality go, you've got to respond in kind.
-
Really would have been nice to wipe that smug smirk off of Friese's face just once.
-
Great effort today, but going to just fall short. A little discrepancy in athleticism and the added ingredient of Three Stooge BS makes the difference IMO. Husker ladies showed very well today.
-
I can't believe they called a foul on the battle tank.
-
Eff the B1G. I hate this effing conference with a passion. Get the call right the first time, you effing imcompetent boobs.
-
Main Battle Tank.
-
Terrible call. The tank just ran her over.
-
0 fouls in 10 minutes for the conference darling. Total BS. The officiating hose job is in full effect.
-
Both women's and men's teams are regularly are on the short end of the stick regarding physical play. If Nebraska tries to turn up the physicality, the whistles start blowing like there's no tomorrow. Almost every Nebraska sports program has been hosed by officiating since joining this godforsaken conference.

I didn't think this thread would cover the Pedeyshine angle, but here we are.
