This pisses me off. Let's do a mini wagyu giveaway contest. Post your prediction by halftime. Final score and who wins. Two Nebraska Star wagyu ribeyes will be delivered to whomever nails the exact score. Screw IU.

Scheme schmeme. Moe Iba's offensive scheme was right out of Hoosiers. He had Jerry Shoecraft passing up wide open 15 footers to get Jack Moore a chance to get to the foul line. Yet he never sniffed 20 losses in a season. It's all about heart. His 6'7" centers not only held their own, but actually kicked ass. I realize it's different today, but this team has shown no heart. Is that a reflection of the head coach, the assistants or the players on the roster? We will find out next year.

Norm, this is an impossible question to answer. The Beatles released 21 albums between the UK and USA. I can't pick a favorite. They're like my children. Love them all the same. Same way with Fred's 21 victories with the Huskers. How can you love one more than the other?

I've also been to two Seger concerts, but closer to 35 months apart. Mrs. cip and I saw him at the Quest Center and then at PBA. Great both times but PBA was probably better. We had better seats. This song is appropriate for all the buyouts the University has made in the last two decades. It's an amateur video but not badly done. It'll give you a taste of a Bob Seger concert.

Just for giggles, I went back to when Husker basketball seemed fun. 1996-97 season. I randomly picked it, so stay off my ass. I went back from that season, and checked every time they played on 2-22. They won in 97 over ISU, 95 @ Missouri, 92 @ ISU, 89 Colorado and 84 @ Okie State. I got lazy and didn't go back any farther. NU never lost on that date through those years. My point is, history gives the Huskers a win tonight. I think it's fitting, and extremely sad, the Huskers get their 2nd conference victory on 2/22/22 on a Twosday. They win going away.

Questions abound with this program. Does any coach on the staff give two shits how the team performs? Do any players care about Nebraska fans who have given their hearts and souls for decades hoping that someday this program would make them proud? Doubtful. I don't think any of them want to be asked....

I predict the Huskers will be up 10 sometime in this game. Doesn't mean they win. However, if they get up by 12, they win going away.

Completely agree with what you're saying about hard work and discipline. I'm thinking more of why not a top-notch assistant at a major program who is hungry for success on his own as head coach? We've never tried that in Husker Hoops. Norm was on to something in his thread when he asked why not start with a low base salary and incentivize the crap out of the contract? I love Will Bolt and knew he was the man for the baseball job. Big Ten basketball is a different animal than baseball. It will take a special coach to take the Husker basketball program to the level Bolt has in baseball.

Completely agree, Handy. The only way Fred is not head coach at NU next year is if he chooses so. Fix football and then move on. The only wrench in this is if Alberts has his man and it has to happen now.
