When someone has to drum up a 5 year old thread, you know it's quiet here, even at this time of year. Wonder why?

I bet he knew the Clintons...

Rain delays normally favor the losing team. Got a good feeling! -
Speaking of great pep band songs of the seventies...

What high school band didn't play this song back in the 70's?

Look at it this way: Sears might be able to pitch an inning in relief on Sunday's second game. It ain't over. -

I don't think I've been asked to bail out any student loan. It was a wham, bam thank you ma'am. -
I'd imagine he's hanging with Jerry Garcia right now.

This thread needs to stay. The other sports board doesn't get that many views. This Husker baseball team reflects what is going on in Husker athletics, especially basketball and football. The right head coaching hires were made in all 3 sports. You don't have to have "elite" talent at all positions: get the right athletes who have the right attitude, and things, more than likely, will look good at season's end. Everything is in place. We have the money, we have the coaches, we have the facilities and we have the right talent. I've got a feeling whatever regional the Huskers wind up in, we're playing in a Super Regional. GBR!

How can you run out of moves to that song? Just sway back and forth, do the upper body nod, take a hit, rinse and repeat.

Doug Ingle, founding member and lead singer of Iron Butterfly passed yesterday. In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida was a classic. Of course, that 17+ minute song took up an entire side of the LP. There were decent songs on the other side. Most Anything You Want was pretty good. So, too, was Flowers and Beads. RIP.

Turtles. Love them.

I've never purchased flowear...

Randy Meisner is on the far left of the screen. They don't show him often, those bastards.

Looking for a particular poster. If you're gone, I have gone songs. FWIW, I'm right behind you.

The Turtles were one of the most fun groups of the late sixties. Today, their drummer, John Barbata, passed at the age of 79. He was also drummer for Jefferson Starship. He played drums on "Miracles" which is one of my favorite Jefferson Starship songs. He was given songwriting credits for the Turtles hit "Elenore". Looks like he's having fun. RIP!

One of the great saxophone players passed. David Sanborn. Here he is on the Dick Cavitt show playing with David Bowie and Luther Vandross as a backing vocalist. Wow! RIP all 3 of you!

They were probably told they could either be part of the bull pen or the chicken pen. -
I just happened upon this episode of the Midnight Special. Most of these artists have moved on. This is well worth an hour or so of your time if you're an antique like I am.
